Lankester potentially going out too.... on 13:45 - Feb 1 with 2054 views | tractordownsouth | I'm not necessarily against letting Lankester go out on loan because we have a lot of options out wide, but it is worrying that Lambert is allowed to make such big decisions.

It's so obvious that PL is now playing 'these youngsters aren't good enough to get us promoted' and Evans is swallowing it.

It's clear that McGavin is nowhere near the 1st team and, in all honesty, Lankester hasn't looked anywhere near as good as he did before his injury. So, it's not the end of the world to see these guys go out on loan.

Lankester potentially going out too.... on 13:48 - Feb 1 with 1990 views | unstableblue | The loans seem all wrong.. young unproven players we have in abundence. And for me Dobra, El Mizouni, Dobra have a role to play. Any loan should be experienced and ready to go. Especially a striker. Blackpool game is going to be massive Joe, I do sense that the team might 'click' at some point which may give Lambert a few results. But his exit is inevitable. Its so obvious to me that some tweaks to the system and set-up and this team can success with or without these young loanees.

He is bang on though isn't he. With him in charge, they don't have a prayer.

Lankester potentially going out too.... on 13:50 - Feb 1 with 1958 views | jayessess | It's weird. I might understand leaving Lambert in post if you were fairly sanguine about remaining in League One. But chucking more players at him is just absurd.

I can't see it clicking. Atmosphere is meant to be awful, management relations non existent. Showing no signs we can look like creating anything or putting anyone under any sort of pressure. [Post edited 1 Feb 2021 14:14]

Me too. I listen to the games now out of habit rather than enjoyment. I don’t even care if we draw or lose. I never expect us to win and when we occasionally do I cannot get excited about it. Sad times.

Evans is being played like Beethoven's 5th.
Lankester potentially going out too.... on 13:57 - Feb 1 with 1816 views | Wallingford_Boy | Not sure I agree. Lankester is miles down the pecking order now, last few appearances he looked average at best and that was before the injured midfielders came back and we sign Harrop/Thomas. Same for McGavin. We can't keep them in the squad not playing, just because they are "one of our own". They need game time. Both good moves for us I'd say.

Gary Neville clearly can spot a player, he’s played for a big club and won the Champions League.

They'd probably be getting game time here, if they we're being kept out by makeweight loanees/Alan Judge who aren't adding anything in terms of quality.

They're managed by an incompetent manager in a system that just isn't working. Thomas has played 2 games and looks no better than Lankester. Just a shambles of a club from top to bottom

Still clinging on to some hope he might still go but it's very slight now. I'm sick of it to be honest. SB [Post edited 1 Feb 2021 14:19]
