Should we have the ground exorcised? 11:37 - Feb 22 with 1599 views | sotd78 | Might be clutching at straws or might not be as stupid as it sounds. But when the Budgies rebuilt a stand there was all sorts of stuff written (on here) about what bad karma some could leave in the foundations. Who says we haven't had the same done to us? A basic exorcism performed by the club chaplain would do the job perhaps? And may be a few prayers?

Whatever can go wrong.... by Bloots 15 Feb 2021 12:00....for this club, does go wrong.
I'm at the stage now where I don't just expect us to lose a match (specifically against half decent opposition) but I expect us to lose and there be a manky cherry on top of it.
A sending off, another injury, an OG, a plague of rats, a dog running on the pitch and dumping on Norwoods head, a freak tidal wave.....who knows?
Someone needs to do one of those rituals where you dispel all of the bad luck from the club.
Don't you have to pee in each corner of the ground or something?
Or sacrifice a live toad to the gods?
Balls.

Should we have the ground exorcised? on 11:49 - Feb 22 with 1525 views | CrayonKing | The thing is our decline isn't due to bad luck. It's due to the way the club has been run and continuing poor leadership and decision-making. The only exorcism we need is in the board room and the managers office.

Should we have the ground exorcised? on 12:01 - Feb 22 with 1482 views | 66notout | This is a true story.... There’s a well-known medium in the town who has a good track record and has even helped the police at times. She’s a keen Town fan and when they were rebuilding the North Stand she wandered into Portman Road to warn the club there were tough times ahead because the work had awoken a medieval knight or something similar. The medium met Sheepy, explained why she was concerned for the club and was almost immediately escorted off the premises. We all know what happened next. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Should we have the ground exorcised? on 12:20 - Feb 22 with 1413 views | lowhouseblue | yes we are very clearly cursed. didn't we have one of the goal posts at the north stand end exorcised in the past after too many shots had been hitting it?
| And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show |

"Canny believe it, it nae normal, the ground is cursed. Little curses though, not like the demon spirits at some of the clubs I've played for. Tough ghouls those. Trouble is, their structure is all wrong - should only be here at Halloween."

The top one's a malevolent Paultergeist, for sure. Can't see anything in the bottom one, I assume it's just some ghostly apparition.

I tell you what, as daft as this sounds it would make a great story for the EADT. Maybe our next money raising event should be for an exorcist.
