It sounds like he's generally looked after nowadays which is great news.
However he has had repeated good advice from here and ignored which is a real shame.

The lot giving him sh*t on Twitter are mostly Leeds fans (though not sure if they have his new account yet).
The video in question is from a Colchester fan and his group in 2017 that used to give T sh*t in person.

I hate saying it, but Troy doesn't help himself in ways he can help himself. We crowd sourced him a season ticket as a forum, but then months later he was slagging TWTD off because his 'mates' on twitter were questioned on the forum for being outlandish and provocative.
It doesn't mean he deserves what happened to him, but it does mean he's simply not willing to take the advice we gave him to protect himself against this kind of stuff.

Am I missing something here though, I don't know the history of all of this, or his time on twtd etc, But clearly the gent has a disability so im not sure why there's a lot of ' he can't help himself' on here and on twitter, isn't that the whole problem?.... he doesn't have the mental capacity to be treated and seen as 'normal'

You know he’s extremely autistic right? He’s very very easily led. It’s not his fault.
Without twitter he doesn’t have much else to do! I know it’s probably not right for him to be ‘let loose’ on it but it must be difficult.

I agree, what happened to him was disgusting and isn't defendable - but we've tried on countless times to help him and be friends with him, but he prefers being around the banter.
Both he and the idiots involved were perfectly capable of making decisions to to create/be part of this toxic environment. | |

I wouldn't say I have a blinkered view on it, I base it on the readings of his tweets, threads etc, that it's clear he doesn't have the social capability like most others, so it's ok to say people offered advice etc, but clearly he isn't capable to taking on that advice and is in a very vunerable position to be taken advantage of
My wife supports children and Adults with Autism, some severe, some have it mildly, but she'd never consider those with extreme Autism to be able to socially mix as any other adult would.

Please read up about autism, it is highly likely he isn't 'perfectly capable' of making those decisions.
I know it's frustrating seeing advice and offers of help being 'ignored' but it's not as simple as that. There's a reason why individuals with ASD are so vunerable to cuckooing. | |
