Absolutely no one from the club has directly refuted the statements, so I fully believe that they have been told to go. Cook has been blasting the players since he arrived here. Along with the removal of the references on social media, these clearly aren't just "rumours". |

Wolfenden removed all itfc content last summer. Doesnt show anything.
I fully believe the squad have been told they are free to go yes.
The club wouldnt come out and discuss a managers personal discussion with his players.
I also do wonder with all these sources in and around the club if indeed the club are trying to find out who the moles are. Because some of the stories coming out are laughable.... [Post edited 29 May 2021 17:35]

If Cook has decided he doesn't like Dobras attitude and they don't get on, then it would be entirely consistent for Cook to say "find another club" and for Dobra to dig his heels in and say "I am going to stay and fight for my place" (i.e. "I have got a contract, so you can stick your threats up your tailpipe").

Many initially refused to believe Joe when he was exposing the true state of things under Hurst. They’ve since had to come back with their tails between their legs. I had my own source at the club at the time so i knew he was right. Unfortunately that person has since left so I can’t verify things any more, but Joe’s track record speaks for itself. | | | |

4 months ago I'd have believed him. Lots has changed since then.
And in regards to Hurst.. that wasnt a shock. Many people. Paul knows for example had lots of info.. plus the fact doig and Hurst had form of it.
PC however. Not even a peep of acting in the manner of which this rumours are being spread.
People.are free to believe what they want.

Yep, very strange as he got a lot of football towards end of season and looked as though he has something to offer - maybe he thinks he can sit out Cook on loan somewhere? Who knows at the moment - but I don’t see him playing any role here under Cook next season | |

I don’t think it’s constructive dismissal, but as you say there are rules regarding having to ensure players are training etc - why players like Nolan and Jackson were with 23s and not just doing laps on their own. | |

If that's true then Cook is a dick. I've been prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt as he's only just arrived, but that just sounds unprofessional at best. And it really doesn't make any sense. Why would Cook deny players, especially bit-part ones, who want to prove themselves to him?

Dobra hasn’t had an easy time here for a while - interest from top clubs but we dug heels in then did so again over contract demands but eventually got that done. Then the whole squad photo thing, then told he needs to go out on loan and p’ing PL of by doing so, then gets in team and despite starting 5 in 6 when a few players come back from injury he goes from starting on Saturday to being back with U23s for training on Monday.
He may have reacted badly to something and that’s why things escalated - but regardless that is the message he has been given now | |

Think it's more to do with the fact that he failed pretty badly towards the end of last season, coupled with all the big-shots coming in (Ashton etc.), and so he's felt a bit vulnerable / insecure about his position. The obvious response to that is to pass as much blame on to the players as possible, to strengthen his own position within the club.
Presumably the demanding new owners have asked him to explain the poor end to the season, and what is he going to say? I wasn't up to it?
At the end of the day, if we let Dobra go for £200,000, and then two years Dobra is sold for £10 million, either Cook will have brought success to ITFC by then and we'll be in the championship and won't care, or he'll have been long out the door, so either way it won't really come back on him. You could've mentioned that last paragraph on your first post but chose not to. Whilst i am not saying you're wrong im still sceptical that it was just Cook telling him to go in that manner, if he did, for no reason at all. You don't like Cook, you've made that obvious in previous posts, but perhaps we need to hear the truth before slating Cook. |  | | |
