30 goals easily. Do think before you post

Indeed, if he's good for 30 imagine what somebody good could achieve.

So you’re saying Norwood will stay now, Phil? (n/t) on 22:04 - Jun 15 by PhilTWTD | I think so. Had been told he was among those told he could go but subsequently told he's on the short list of those Cook wants to keep. Further to that, I'm not sure he'd be that sellable after his injury struggles over the last couple of years. The clubs that might want him wouldn't be able to afford his wages. |
Sorry if already covered but apart from Norwood and KVY, who else does Cook want to keep please?

With the academy players it is hard to see them move on, but we can't keep players just because they have come from the academy. We have to make decisions on players based on their performances across a season.

to be fair, he scored 10 in terrible season for the club, and him injury wise. so with players around him, creating a shed load of opportunities, i don't see why 30 isn't an achievable target.

I agree, Norwood is good enough to have a 30 goal season in League One.

which is why it would be good if people got off his back. He is a goal machine, works his socks off every game, whats not to like? His social media posts may sometimes be a little misguided, but he is not a rocket scientist, he is a football player, who happens to be very good at kicking that ball into the net. Has he got the potential to be disruptive? Sure he does, but so have most talented players. [Post edited 16 Jun 2021 6:39]

A "goal machine" is somewhat of a stretch lets be honest Perhaps if he got himself fit and that's a big if , maintained a level of fitness and knuckled down I'd expect him to bang in 12+ with the wind behind him 30 goals from Norwood ? I'll show everyone my arse if that happens

The worry is that the next faux pas is always just round the corner. He's likely to get banned from driving for 3 years in a months time and I just don't have any confidence that he can make it through a season without doing something idiotic. He will score goals though, however I also think it's a position we could upgrade if enough funds are available. SB

Yes. Its league 1 where he scored 10 goals despite missing most of it.. being unfit and having 0 support from his team mates when it came to creating chances. Wykes is a prime example of a player who can score plenty of goals with the right players around him. ( in thos case McGeady)

Does the assertion that we will only keep around 4-5 players stack up with what you understood Phil? (or others) As others have said it will very much depend on the ability to ship out the dead wood. For example, how do we move Drinan etc on?

So you’re saying Norwood will stay now, Phil? (n/t) on 22:16 - Jun 15 by MattinLondon | Phil, I may well be sounding like a true pessimist but everything now seems quite short term. |
Where is all this “ short term” crap coming from now ? The club have installed a whole new back room staff, coaching, science based medicine, a CEO ….this is NOT a short approach. If people can’t see the Club is rebuilding then there’s something seriously wrong with people’s perspective. I’d suggest it’s the ( some) fans short term approach that is the issue here. To rebuild a squad takes time…..not just 4-6 weeks prior to a new season. People (Fans) need to look at the long term approach this Club is now taking and not expect promotion this season, because I doubt it’ll happen. But there will be the usual drama queens on here spouting the usual crap along the lines of Cook out, Ashton out , owners out…. etc etc ……only at ITFC it seems, does this happen.
