But as others have said, he represents the younger generation. I'm 25 and I don't even remember Titus. Out of the years from 2003 on Chambers has played in half of this time, that's pretty mental.
"I'm 25 and I don't even remember Titus".
Thank you for making me feel ancient.
Must be similar to when my Dad used to talk about Roy Bailey!

That picture of Chambers is going to trigger a few people on matchdays.
Anybody who is getting het up about Chambers appearing on a piece of artwork celebrating the community spirit of ITFC, now he's no longer playing for the club*, is being more than a little odd. It isn't some formal ranking of "legends", just a selection of notable former team members over many years.
Like it or not, for his longevity as a player with the club and as Captain, Chambers can stand alongside Beattie, Wark, etc., even if his abilities and certainly the team's achievements do not match up to theirs. They are all notable characters in Ipswich Town's history.
* It was fair enough to criticise his constant selection, but that is not an issue any more.

Great, put the pressure on Phil.....
I have said in the past that the McGarry promotion team is overlooked because of what happened in the years afterwards, but fans 10 years or so older than me revere Danny Hegan in particular as much as many of those that followed.

I agree.
I’ve always classed Chambers as an Ipswich ‘stalwart’ and not a ‘legend’. As a stalwart, he totally deserves his recognition in ITFC history and I think he should be on the mural.
He’s not a legend. That would devalue the meaning for the true legends we’ve had imho.

I think he can, in the wider group of notable ITFC players. It's not about a ranking of our most legendary players (in which Beattie and Wark would obviously far outscore Chambers), but about celebrating all who have made a significant contribution to the club, in which Luke can rightfully be included alongside those others who were prominent in the Portman Road home dressing room in years gone by.
