Does it end with Brett M J's face with the term "To Infinity and Beyond"?

Or the Champions League trophy marked as season 2027/28.

Serious note. It seems we're going a bit darker blue. Instantly, that makes the existing signage look a bit dated (away supporters ticket office)

Do you know if that is also being replaced?

Behind the gesture is the biggest thing.... Someone is actually showing our sodding footie team some love.

This is probably the first time we'd had good community engagement since our last season in the premier league. Not saying Sheepshanks didn't care post PL, but he was a bit busy sh**ing himself over the ITV Digital stuff about to ruin the club - understandably so.

Evans came in, and injected cash - but it never felt he understood what the bedrock of ITFC was.

To be fair to him, it was the one big thing that Paul Lambert got right in his early days. He showed a lot of respect to former players, and made it clear that he valued the support of the fans.

He did, I can't take that away from him - but the club itself remained in this kind of stasis with the ownership. That is what's getting me going right now.

I don't. May not be a conscious thing in terms of the context.

Not sure that's enough for me. I'd rather see players up there who have won something, or at least been an integral part of a decent Ipswich team.

It's about being aspirational.

We're Ipswich Town, we don't have that many players that have won something.

No problem celebrating good servants of the club, especially someone who generally got people interested and showed how much the club meant.

I agree.

I’ve always classed Chambers as an Ipswich ‘stalwart’ and not a ‘legend’. As a stalwart, he totally deserves his recognition in ITFC history and I think he should be on the mural.

He’s not a legend. That would devalue the meaning for the true legends we’ve had imho.

Part of the idea of this is to include players who have given good service to the club, so to speak, but wouldn't be regarded as legends. People like Steve McCall, who hasn't got any other recognition but certainly played a very significant part in the club's history.

Even something like this makes a huge difference to the ground, just gives it a much needed lift. And ME the hospitality guru couldn't see that himself and much preferred the windows boarded up, so welcoming!

Indeed he did. Fair play.

Just the team selection, recruitment, motivation, organisation and management that was a bit lacking.

From what I can tell based on the pictures so far it seems the clubs greatest ever achievement- the Lyall promotion - has once again been overlooked.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

This is why I like his inclusion. And only having the ‘legends’ is always looking backwards and not showing the community spirit and effort that goes into a club.
