John Wark needs a statue- this isn't enough. (I'm surprised no-one has suggested that for Paul Mariner, to be honest. I'd love it if we end up with many of the great Robson teams in bronze, eventually.)

Anybody who is getting het up about Chambers appearing on a piece of artwork celebrating the community spirit of ITFC, now he's no longer playing for the club*, is being more than a little odd. It isn't some formal ranking of "legends", just a selection of notable former team members over many years.
Like it or not, for his longevity as a player with the club and as Captain, Chambers can stand alongside Beattie, Wark, etc., even if his abilities and certainly the team's achievements do not match up to theirs. They are all notable characters in Ipswich Town's history.
* It was fair enough to criticise his constant selection, but that is not an issue any more. |
