I think the understandable desire for the new regime to be a success (which I wholeheartedly share), coupled with the nagging doubt that it's Ipswich so it might all end in disaster, makes people a bit susceptible to this sort of thing at the moment - hence the strong reaction to, as you say, quite a simple joke about the fact that the men's team are desperate for a few more signings before the season starts, while the women's team are having no such problems. | | | |
