Still less points than Norwood then 17:01 - Aug 21 with 1652 viewsMullet

What are we doing so wrong? We blow teams out of the water financially, our manager has far more experience and success than the teams we've played.

Mills might think it'll happen, but another game dropped and less room for error is not good enough is it?

Playing Wolfy is what we're currently doing wrong. Seem to concede from almost every chance and individual errors.

If we are digging players out then Evans has given away far more than Woolfy this season and I like him a lot.

Equally Penney cost us that Morecambe goal as much as Woolfenden so it seems unfair to suggest that alone.

Woolfenden has been the cause of at least 3 goals, some going to beat that. It's hard to be tough on him because of his background and the early promise, but he just doesn't look good enough at this point going foward.

Much as Blubbers SteveM Bloots and you and many others may hate to hear it we might now need to give this year as yet another free hit. Give Cook until Xmas to turn it round; if we are 10 points off the top 6 by then, appoint someone else like I dunno Mark Hughes if he’s up for it in time for the window.

What we are doing wrong is setting up badly against teams, not adjusting to their tactics, thinking we can win by scoring trying to score 4 and not worrying if we let in 3. Also maybe our players are not as good we think they are? (apart from Edwards and Bonne and Harper)

We just cannot play for a full 90 minutes. Haven't done for years. We are still running out of steam for the last half hour even with the new regime.

I'm always of the 10 games mindset, but the fact he's had 20 or so and produced this, worries me.

I just don't see how he's giving himself enough space to work with. We shouldn't be in this bastard league at all, let alone still here worrying about the club-stealing no marks of MK Dons. Yet here we are.

If we scrape up by the playoffs so be it, but anything less than automatics raises questions for me. He chose this path and doesn't seem to know how to get us going.

Still think it's far too early to write this season off, but the attitude you suggest might be better than the increasingly frantic desperation which is building among the fans.

Expecting meh, being pleased by positives and delighted with wins may well be more healthy than ever-increasing rage and frustration. Both for the supporters themselves and the atmosphere surrounding the team.

It is frustrating, but every individual mistake we seem to be making results in a goal. I honestly think we lack the combative midfielder to do the horrible stuff both Harper and Evans want to attack and not provide that defensive shield.

Like Mills, I think it will happen but we need to cut out the individual errors. I also believe it's the expectation that is killing us and getting everyone stir crazy especially when we lose or draw.

Yeah, some of those players out there look spent towards the end of the game. Not having much of the ball will obviously take its toll, but after all of the talk about fitness over the Summer, I expected a lot more.

Not sure about our gk.

KVY not 100% yet.

Wolf played with his 4th different partner today. Need the CB pairing to be settled.

Liked Burgess. Coulsen be ok when fit.

Edwards electric. Bonne decent.

Evans looked a bit lost at time. Awful mistake.

Centre mid not working for me. Overran and failed to win so many 2nd balls all game.

Trouble is you could see it coming and to be fair Mk played well (how far have we come to say that?)

I can understand the boos, I didn’t , but it is so frustrating after so many years of just nothing

“Turn it around” is sadly the mindset that’s been developed by a lot already. It’s not a very good start but we’re hardly in a slump. If individual mistakes were cut out, we’d be top of the league.

MK Dons are a decent side who’ll be top 6 in my view. They had better shape and ball retention all over the park today. I expected a draw but 2pts isn’t good enough. I thought Cook did a lot right today. If that game was another few games in, we’d have registered four or five as players get used to each other to get on the end of balls across the box or pull backs.

We were playing MK Dons not Real Madrid. Other teams should be setting up to try and counter us, not the other way around.

Fitness is still an issue. Why? How many seasons have we endured players who can’t last 90 mins? And wit( a completely new playing staff and management it’s still an issue. The quality of enough of the players and how they are organised? Two points from four teams that will do well to finish in the top half suggests the jury is out. If they can afford it, maybe get in an experienced centre half and a full back to back up or replace KVY.

At the moment, we are a long way off being good enough.

It'd be good if I was shocked that Woolfenden was getting the brickbats today for the latter lack of control and effectiveness in midfield and yet... I'm not.
