Chambo has spoken on 23:26 - Dec 5 by monytowbray | Again. That’s not elaborating. Being deleted aside you should be able to name them. But you’re taking the vague path of not saying anything specific that happened and simply playing victim with wording. And I loop you back to gaslighting. Because there you go again. I should add, last time I said posts were removed you accused me of “not providing evidence to the collective, then Glassers accused me of misogyny whilst ironically screaming I’m div listed and hadn’t seen the post. I own my actions, but if you can’t give a logical example and demonstrate the problem I’m not really into it. What do I gain from engaging with such crap? Not a lot. IRONY METER. Or something. Lollers. |
Well, since you insist - just one example - The thread of several pages incorporating dozens of your abusive posts ranting at me for refusing to change my diet any further than the reduction to 2 meat meals a week that I already had (because my changing my diet any further would have damaged my health due to medical problems), was only brought to a halt when Newcy told you that what you had to do was literally "just stop being a prick Callis". Several other posters had said similar to you earlier, but it took that plain wording to stop you. Yet you accuse *me* of "gaslighting" you. It was the other way round, and numerous times so. I wasn’t abusive. We disagreed but your wording is off. I still to this day doubt your story on diet. I remember those threads well, those are the very pile ons you partook in. Half the reason I got called a prick in those threads was because of said pile on. Many people have grown up since then when it comes to veganism and not constantly getting upset when told of a simple moral dilemma. Many have apologised over the years since those threads. Again, the reinvention of history. I really do live rent free in your head. My own eyes and ears do not lie to me. And my opinions don’t age like milk.

Out of your own mouth. I don't need to say any more - the "reinvention of history" is entirely yours - you're downright lying about a thread (edit - several threads, bearing in mind the "pile-ons" remark), and actually accusing me of faking an illness that has blighted my life for the past 30 years to boot. Beneath contempt from you. [Post edited 6 Dec 2021 1:24]

I didn’t say you are lying about your illness. Never have. Again, gaslighting. What I did do is give you a list of food items you aren’t allergic to. You were welcome to address and discuss them. Instead you got very abusive and started making all sorts of assumptions. Your act is transparent. You misrepresent me enough for it to be a feature and not a bug.

More complete and utter lies. Seems you can't stand remembering just how badly you behaved (understandable). Not to mention "I still to this day doubt your story on diet". You seem hellbent on proving Newcy right.

No, that’s literally what I said. It was there but Phil pulled it. Even then I made it clear I hadn’t said you were lying about your illness. I gave a list of things you can eat and you went off the handle. So now you are doubling down and not addressing what is said then or here. What am I lying about exactly? Put all your emotions and pre-assumptions aside and read my words. I mean what I say. Newcy isn’t the God of TWTD, plenty of people have defended me over the years during your abusive tirades too. And have raised your history of these tirades each time you have one. Doesn’t mean I’m right. Peer validation on here means f**k all, as we’ve seen in many aged-like-milk pile ons over the years.

I can see that it's completely pointless replying to you any further when you continue to just lie, or perhaps it'd be fairer to say just distort what was said because you genuinely don't like to remember how badly you behaved in that thread, how several posters told you exactly that was what you were doing, and to stop it - *that* was the reason you were getting "piled on" there, culminating in Newcy, a very well-respected poster, telling you in no uncertain terms to stop. *You* are the one insisting I brought up an example, & are now relentlessly pursuing the argument (ie "doubling down"). I've never posted an "abusive tirade" on here in my life - had plenty directed at me tho from a handful of posters including yourself. Several people who PM'd me supportive messages saying how shocked they were to see unjustified stuff like that posted at/about me, know this. I'll leave you to it, you're not worth me losing sleep or food hours to (vegetarian falafels I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear). **I'm going to do a very late (about 24 hours later) edit now I'm less tired, to set the facts straight & for the record. 1. Your allegation above re "abusive tirades" is the most obvious example of how you continually pretend that the things you yourself actually said & did, were supposedly said & done by the person you're arguing with (I believe it might be called 'projection'?) - this is the opposite of your earlier comment that you "own" your actions when you've messed up. 2. The facts re the example thread I brought up at your request are that as I said at the time, umpteen medical specialists had advised me to eat as wide a range of food as possible from within the 5% or so of stuff in foodshops that I can actually ingest without problem, which includes lean meat & white fish. Whilst I can eat a small range of veg & most pulses, I can only tolerate small amounts of that fibre or again flare-ups will be caused, so if I didn't eat lean meat/fish or eggs, I wouldn't get enough protein (am allergic to dairy). You repeatedly refused to accept that consultant gastro-enterologists, allergy specialists, dieticians & my own experience of living with the disease for 30 years, knew better than you, an unqualified lay person. That's why so many posters told you to stop having a go at me. If that constitutes a "pile-on", the way to have stopped it always lay within your own hands, but you chose to carry on regardless. You being upset is different to you distorting the truth. Which you did, and I’m entitled to defend myself. I know what my words mean, and if people don’t want to take them at face value what can I do? That’s not a me problem. Those involved in that thread you name aren’t new to that game either, Newcy included. What I said was literally what I posted. And I stand by it. You raised the point of your diet. I gave you a list of things you can eat and off you went. Rather than reacting and telling me what others said, why not tell me where my assessment is wrong? Am I literally lying about my reply? No, you are interpreting it as you want and doubling down. I’ve never buried a hatchet with you. I have no need to because honestly I don’t care. I don’t know you or give much of a s**t what you think of me (or much else to be brutally honest). Same for most on here, myself included. It’s just a forum of loosely connected people largely don’t know one another. What I do care about is people I have little regard for misrepresenting my comments or picking fights then claiming moral high ground. Still vegan. Still believe killing animals is cruel. Still believe there is no such thing as humane slaughter. Still think you could be vegan and there are plenty of options out there for you. [Post edited 6 Dec 2021 2:37]

I get most people didn't care and were actually cheering him on but it didn't sit right with me. There's ways of conducting yourself when making and communicating tough decisions. |

That a poster on here started a thread wishing Cook would come back to Portman Road with another team and smash us was alarming enough. That it had multiple up votes made me realise our fans might not be compatible with my views, or the owners views on football. Cook was an absolute nothing for us in comparison to Chambers. That we never signed anyone to replace Chambers sooner isn't his fault- he always gave everything, didnt hide and was also a big part of the good times under MM that some fail to acknowledge still. He and his teammates were regularly thrown under the bus by Cook gleefully last season, and being contracted by the club professionally kept quiet. That hes had a little jab back at a failed manager who he probably feels mistreated him and his friends is hardly a big deal and I doubt Cook himself would lose any sleep over it. No doubt some of our incredibly wet and soft football 'supporters' will do though. |

I agree with this, up to a point. I think the club captain of many seasons probably deserves a little more than that. The scene in Moneyball where Brad Pit's character is discussing how to tell a player that he's cut/traded is pertinent here. Basically keep it short, keep to the facts.

You still don't quite get it despite it being explained many many times. Neither were my "messiahs", I just believe in giving managers enough time to make their mark on the club, get in the players they want, get them drilled in their footballing philosophies etc. I turned on Lambert by the end because he'd had that time and hadn't been good enough. Cook has had one transfer window. ONE. And he's expected to get every signing right in that window?! It's ludicrous IMO, although I fully understand why he's been sacked and won't be crying over it. What makes me laugh is as a self-proclaimed footballing expert and someone who's repeatedly told us he's worked professionally in football (like that's some sort of ace card) you're saying in another thread that Liam Manning is the best candidate; a bloke who's literally managed a handful of games at this level. How on earth do you deduce, with your footballing expertise, that he's a great manager rather than just happens to have done reasonably well in his first few games? I'd love to know your analysis (other than he has 7 more points than us).
