I always thought if you enter the pitch you get banned for a period of time (if not lifetime). The fact he has pushed a player, surely that punishment should at least be that?
"Yeah lets say sorry and move on" is really going to defer this type of behaviour.......!
You need to make examples of people to deter future attempts of this. Unless he has some sort of condition that makes he do that (other than being an idiot and/or drunk) then no exceptions.
Should it matter what physical thing he did on a player? Even if he just ran on and shouted at him, that is unacceptable. So what would the punish be for a punch / kick/ headlock / body slam etc? |  | | |

In order to do that, he went to the front, climbed over the barrier and run up to Walton before pushing him. He then had to be restrained by a few stewards.

The one player who could be said to come out of last nights debacle with any respect.
What did he think was going to happen. The players return to the pitch and try a bit harder because he had gone onto the pitch to attack a player ?
He then struggled/fought with the stewards. What was all that about ?
"Well as you are so insistent, we will let you go. And point you towards the players tunnel is you can tell them all how awful there are "
Con't drink on an empty head is my advice. And a ban should be mandatory, as it projects the rest as mindless thugs. And instead of a fine, a hefty amount of community service. Saturdays spent tidying up graveyards, parks etc.

As I’ve just posted on Toto’s apology thread , there’s a nasty element amongst Town fans , who rear their ugly mugs from time to time. They are ( as is often the case ) a small minority. But time and again they bring this Club into disrepute. They attacked McCarthy at Brentford, they went for a Town player at Lincoln and now they gone for Toto ( who quite innocently approached the fans to actually say sorry for the display).
These people are not fans , they are scum and should be outed and banned - for life . |  |
