Can anyone confirm that Hermes…. on 18:44 - Dec 22 by jeera | On that note I have to say the local delivery driver for this area always seems to be the same lass and she is super reliable. She works so hard that girl and I often see her car about day and night. I swear she doesn't stop until all her workload demands are met. Edit: She delivers for Hermes. I don't know why I failed to mention that as though it was obvious. Edit, edit: I think I accidentally made her sound like a call girl. [Post edited 23 Dec 2021 17:56]

She is an attractive lass as it goes. Not exactly my thing as I'm sure I'm not hers, but she has her own thing going on so to speak. But back to her professionalism, she is spot on got to say.

Can anyone confirm that Hermes…. on 19:34 - Dec 22 with 2005 views | GavTWTD | Hermes had to deliver 2 packages to me this month. The first they claimed they had delivered. I looked at the delivery photo and was nothing like my house. Was undergoing DIY and there was a house at the end of our street that had scaffolding up so I tried them on the off chance. Thankfully it was left there and I was able to retrieve it. The second they lost completely and the store sent a second after a week and it arrived pretty quick.

Can anyone confirm that Hermes…. on 18:22 - Dec 22 by Kentish_Tractor | I work for an online retailer so I am well aware of the reliability of many couriers. Hermes drivers all use their own cars. So if you're sending something small they are usually very reliable. The issie only arises if you are sending something heavy or bulky. The reason delays occur is often they can't fit a bulky parcel into their car so they have to reject it when picking up their deliveries from the depot. Yodel have vans but ure unexplicably terrible for seemingly no logical reason. If you want reliability definitely go DPD or if you're feeling posh use UPS. |
Sorry but have to correct you. Hermes are cr@p with the small items too. Just chuck everything into the wheelie bins on public road 100m from house. Explanation of current driver "I once damaged my bumper going down someone else's track." Completely irrelevant to ours, which is solid concrete, unobstructed, has had small cars & 15-ton fuel trucks going up & down it for 8 years without any problem. As someone else said, it's down to attitudes of individual drivers and yes, if you pay peanuts they're likely to care less - but should also remember they can mint it in tips from grateful customers if they're consistently good. How Hermes can describe itself as a "professional" service when they expect drivers to use their private cars though, god only knows. They're the definition of cheapskate rip-off merchants. I've now said to a few retailers who use only them, with no other delivery option offered, that I won't be buying anything more from them till they've changed to a different courier.

Now that really would be the perfect fit! If Jasper Carrot had not already got it covered that would have been right up Keno's street.

I honestly can't remember the routine, just its existence. Shouldn't think it's stood the test of time much tbh. I did actually go to see him at the Gaumont and also Spike Milligan. Blimey, that's another age ago isn't it?

This was in the 1980s Keno. I can't remember any specifics I'm afraid but I did enjoy both shows. I know Milligan had people rolling about the place, but then so did Carrot to be fair. I do vaguely remember that Milligan had done his homework and had spent some time looking about, local research and stuff. It was clear that although he had his show structure in place, he did at least tailor it to each area he performed in. So the inevitable inbreeding jokes were actually linked to local graveyards he'd bothered to visit in the town researching for the show.

Can anyone confirm that Hermes…. on 15:09 - Dec 22 by SaleAway | Yodel in my experience are far worse...current experience detailed below... this is not uncommon... they've had a parcel containing a number of christmas presents at the local delivery office since Tuesday 14th... apparently it got loaded onto a van, where the driver suffered a short delay.... 8 days later, it is apparently still in the local delivery office, is expected to be delivered on Wednesday 15th December, and will also definitely be delivered today ( although its 3pm and I don't believe its been loaded onto a van yet). their chat team are utterly useless, and lie as a matter of course ( maybe they're tories), and now a large proportion of my family are not going to receive xmas presents, which were ordered on December 9th. And people wonder why Amazon keep getting business. |
Have now given up on Yodel.... refunded by the retailer, at which point they were very good at updating the tracking to say "returned to sender". Don't have any presents to take to my family though... going to have to stop on the way down today to find some stuff... cheers, Yodel.

I’m in almost the same position with Hermes. If they were all last minute buys then I would sort have understand - but the items have been with them for two weeks. Unbelievable

You you DM me her number? EDIT: Sorry, see this has already been covered. On a similar subject, I have recently found two parcels bunged over the fence for two different houses within 50 yards, on two separate days. Not sure which courier although the second one had Amazon tape on it. First time I thought it was a dodgy drop, but second one wasn't. Dunno if the drivers can't find the houses, or they've just drunk too much Red Bull and have accidentally flung the thing over the fence when taking it out of the van! [Post edited 23 Dec 2021 12:38]
