Bakinson in the Morsy role, Carroll playing Evans (as he did on Saturday). Perhaps McKenna has identified that Wimbledon are vulnerable to pace, with Burns, KVY and Jackson on the pitch, with Aluko to lurk and Norwood to pick up the pieces. Then loads more trickery to come off the bench. |

He's done ok in one season out of the four at Town, but we haven't yet seen how McKenna plans to use him. Up front centrally, with decent service and a strike partner, he could be quite effective. |  |

Kind of looks worse than it is in that the keeper, back 3 and full backs are nailed on starters and he’s gone with that unchanged 6. Then Evans and Morsy in front of them are out, so he has little choice there if he wants 2 back up top. Really if Bonne was in for Jackson it probably wouldn’t have raised so many eyebrows given what he’s got available. I do think that entirely unproven 3 of Bakinson, Carroll, Aluko will have to be at it though, fair to say they won’t know each others’ game. |

Pretty much everyone agrees that Bonne is better than Jackson but form, fitness, morale and motivation have to come into it at some point or else there is no point in having a squad.
Jackson is better than some give him credit for and when all is said and done this team should be good enough to pick up 3 points - even if that’s after the cavalry is sent on after 60. | | | |
