Bring it back.

Especially for scum like Ian Huntley.

How much does looking after that c**t, and others like him, in prison cost the UK taxpayer? Waste of resources.

i mean you know as well as i do, they dont decide the death penalty will happen, then inject them whilst stood in the dock..... plenty of time for prison beatings, and time to worry themselves to death, before it being ended.... i could live with that

Doesn’t have to be instant death either does it, can be torture. Cut balls off etc

"It's barbaric and has no place in the here and now"

oh i'm sure you'd feel differently if it was your child

I’m against the death penalty in all instances. Obviously someone can be emotive and use the ‘what if it was your child’ argument to which I freely acknowledge that I would.

But this is why justice as a whole should be free from the court of public opinion or based on individual opinion. It should be coldly indifferent and base its verdict on the law rather than what is stoking public outrage.

Maybe stoning in the town square, like in Saudi Arabia would satisfy your thirst for blood.

Ooooh Sitters - you're gonna get mullered here by the fannies!

Having said that I make them right. The death penalty is backward and barbaric.

It’s a bit like Mary Whitehouse - those that see filth everywhere tend to be the ones with the filthiest or opposed minds.

Here is a good example why we shouldnt have the death penalty....

Levi Bellfield (Millie Dowler killer) recently wrote a confession admitting to 2 murders in 1996 that another guy (Michael Stone) had been convicted for and has already served many years in prison.

If the death sentence had been implemented in these cases a) you would never have got a confession from Bellfield leading to b) Michael Stone being wrongly convicted and executed

So the fannies are the ones who oppose the death penalty but it’s the c**ts who deserve it. The female anatomy is full of contradictions.

Not sure. Apparently there is stuff in his confession that would only have been known to the killer. He's an evil barsteward for sure though so could be his idea of a sick joke yes

That probably sounded quite funny in your head, but it's a pretty vile response to be honest.

Why are people seemingly sympathetic over something like this? What Ian Huntley did was abhorrent.

Sympathetic to what/ whom?

What you're proposing is also abhorrent. Go and listen to Ian Hislop's comments to Patel.

I think it may have something to do with the petulant Sun-reader style with which you’ve dumped your brains this morning.

The fantasising about cutting balls off and paying for the privilege of torturing someone probably hasn’t helped in garnering the back slaps you disturbingly expected.

Disagree for 3 reasons

1) Miscarriages of justice can't be reversed

2) It's more expensive than life imprisonment

3) It's actually a cop out for punishing the likes of Huntley - If you offered me the choice between whole life imprisonment and the death penalty, i'd take the death sentence every day of the week.
