Bring it back.

Especially for scum like Ian Huntley.

How much does looking after that c**t, and others like him, in prison cost the UK taxpayer? Waste of resources.

Well that's what a court case would need to establish but someone was guilty of cold blooded murder that day, which is my point. The Rules Of Engagement are pretty clear and so ultimately the soldier pulling the trigger is responsible for his actions.

Best way to get away with murder is to put on an uniform.

You may have accidentally hit on the solution here sitters. Cut the balls of a sex offender off, and if it is later found to have been a miscarriage of justice then we just sew them back on.

We'd need a big freezer with lots and lots of pairs of bowlocks kept in it, just in case.

Make sure they're properly labelled though.

Oh right, so only child killers would get the death penalty? All of those killed on Bloody Sunday were someone's child.

Maybe someone needs to check the ages of the people murdered.

Anyhoo, killing someone isn’t a punishment, so it is a bit of silly thing for a Justice system to do.

I’m not disputing that it costs more to execute someone as opposed to life imprisonment…what costs are incurred in a hanging for instance…as opposed to it costing 50K ish a year to bang someone up….

I’m sure Phil will be delighted to wake up in the morning to see you’ve resurrected your strange torture fantasy from the archive.

Got a bit bored when it became obvious Chelsea weren’t going to run up a cricket score?

That’s tomorrow’s ten pager sorted then.

I’ll check in around midday to see how it’s played out.

Never gonna happen and nor should it.
There is no place for it in any civilised society and I've never bought into the "what if it was your child" narrative either.
My emotion would be vengance. That's not justice and however bad a crime is, we should always seek justice.
Why do we always use the ultra emotive subject of a child killer to prove the point?
Are we saying Letby, West and more recently Sharif should also be executed? What about Shipman? Should he have been kept alive so he could be executed to appease the baying mob?
The crimes they all committed are abhorent and they should all rightly lose their liberty. But their life? Not for me.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.
