If the tickets were free, then the sanctioned Abramovich asset would receive no financial benefit.

True, although I assume there would be complications relating to where the money would go after it was paid to Boro. Would they be viewed as selling tickets even if it was via a third party, particularly when the FA Cup has a strict split on who gets what proportion of the gate receipts? | | | |
