Agreed, I've always thought round neck tops should be for training tops.

Adidas design department is a bit of old software with a bloke with bad eyes making the computer change the last one a bit so it looks like the new one.

I see the Hummel suggestions and raise you Lotto. They've got that Euro-lower league vibe I just love and a nice italian sportswear heritage to boot, which is 'cool'. They're certainly not trad tho so would probably split opinion.

Edit - looked them up and actually make very few kits these days. Kappa fill a similar role however and are all over the place these day. Bari special kit (anniversary? doesnt say) is truly stunning

I'll trump both those, and give you a brand that is rarely seen but has been worn by some of the world's greatest players...

Adidas are not renewing, not the other way around.

I used to love the old adidas kits, but the ones in recent years are just off the shelf shockers.

Hummel please!

They couldn’t keep up with our demands!

I’ll throw Uhlsport in there too. They make some lovely kits, including some crackers for our friends at Fortuna.
Not sure why Umbro feature so heavily in people’s wish lists, aren’t they Nike now?

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Nike ditched the Umbro brand a few years ago now. Since then Umbro have come back with a decent line up of clubs and kits across the globe. Also kit supplier to the RFU and Williams Racing

Umbro rightly or wrongly just seems like a cheap brand, the sort of stuff you see in the bargain basement at Sports Direct.

Time for Coes to do the kit seems as going in-house is the buzz.

Their sports gear is a bit heavy though, more suited to rugby, or polo...

Umbro was bought by Nike in 2008 but then sold again in 2012, so it is a while back now, as you say.

They do colab with Pretty Green though, so that gets a thumbs up from me.

Would love a Kappa kit. They are class but I can't see why they would get involved with us.
I used to like adidas but the laziness in their kits in recent years has made me very indifferent towards them.
It's just clearly template stuff with badges stuck on to justify the inflated price.
I'd like something with a bit more identity.
I imagine if it's someone like Umbro, the first kits would be very similar to the 92-93 ones.

Yeah Umbro isn’t the same as it was back in the 90s. It’s been bought by a company called Iconix, a brand management company. Sounds pretty cringe and I bet their kits are crud.

Not at all, I've purchased some brand new Umbro team shirts in the last few years, and I have to say the quality of their shirts is as good as Adidas or Puma.

edit: how about a 3rd kit along these lines ?

I'd be pretty sad if that's the case. I know they are off the shelf, but the quality and comfort are just way better than other brands and they last really well. Hopefully whoever we switch to, can get close to the quality because i doubt they would be any cheaper for a consumer.
