According to the Athletic. I know Burnley are poor but still seems like a harsh one.

Very poor decision, done a great job and would no doubt have got them pushing in the championship next season should they drop. However, a bit of a trend has happened with watford, everton and now burnley all sacking their managers within days of losing to norwich. Perhaps it's just a sackable offence in itself to lose to that lot

No way would Middlesbrough let him go.

Chris Wilder to be next manager to leave in the Premier League is 7/1 with Paddy Power. May be worth a few pence this morning within the next half hour possibly..

Harsh. Don't think any other manager that would come in is more likely to save them from here and if they do go down he'd be a good bet to get them back up. Unless they've got someone they couldn't wait for lined up I think he deserved to get to the summer and make his own decision.

Although obviously I know that's not the way football works these days.

Wouldn't have made any difference. I saw it the minute it was posted and the best price was 6.0.

Doesn't make much sense to me to try and get him away from Boro right now with Allardyce sitting on the sidelines.

Time for Lambo!

I like Burnley, used to get good crowds in bottom half of tier 4, great little ground, very welcoming cricket club next door and I used to work with Burnley ST holder in Manchester.

They signed a good player in Cornet but should not have let Chris Wood leave.and

Good luck to them as I'd quite like to see Everton get relegated.

You’re right about the 22s. It did get cut seemingly as i was posting.

But the 10/1 lasted with Betfair for at least half an hour in fairness.

Either way, I certainly wasn’t putting anyone away with a fake price. Hopefully a few got on as it’s happening. Or at least as long as tomorrows meeting goes through fine, it’s happening. Not going to give away much detail but if it didn’t, something drastic would have to happen. Suprised wilder managed to keep a straight face today in the press conference from his Middlesbrough game

It would be a risky move for Wilder. He’s at a bigger club in Boro in terms of potential who are close to a playoff place. You’d have thought he’d rather stay and potentially get promotion with them than face relegation with Burnley. Unless he’s being offered mega bucks to go there.

My man reckons it’s now advanced to a stage of deciding whether it’s worth him coming now or announcing it as him for the summer. Either way the bet will land.

Thought this was a nice line from the Guardian:

The problem was not that Burnley failed to evolve or adapt. The problem is that Burnley were Burnley: a cash-poor small-town club in a sea of nation-states and billionaire mercenaries, desperately trying to keep its head above water. There is a certain bitter irony in the fact that the man Dyche succeeded at Burnley is now one of the main architects of their downfall: Newcastle’s Eddie Howe, a manager often hailed as the archetype of the modern holistic young English coach, now playing fantasy football with Saudi Arabian money. Who, ultimately, was the principled one?

Was going to say, not sure how much of an architect Howe has been. They've bought their way out. If he's binned off in the summer for a big name manager it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

As a nonbetting man, I am curious to understand whether these types of bets have a time limit on them? i.e. if they appoint WIlder in the summer do you still get paid out at the same odds? Or would they be canceled after a period of time?

Think the markets are normally just next permanent manager.

Edit: So yes if that's Wilder you'll get whatever odds you got him at. I can't see it myself but Rommy seems convinced with his inside info. You would think Jackson has a sniff if he keeps them up, seems to be doing a great job.

It's a newspaper for the liberal-leaning Labout Party, yes, in the same way, the Mail is the newspaper for the center-right capitalists. If you want balance, you read neither, as it's all just propaganda promoting the view of the Party they are either trying to get elected or stay elected.

Vincent Kompany is linked to them now. tbh the caretaker has already had 3 games which in some betting markets is now the 'permanent' manager so you wouldn't get money on Wilder anyway even if it was him

Thanks for that, I did wonder whether they expire.

Jackson seems to be doing a cracking job but even if he keeps them up i don't think he is enough of a name for them. Rooney was the latest one I saw being reported.
