No, I would stay well away from the corgis. I imagine the kinda people who would eat the corgis are the same kinda people who fill up on bread while waiting for the main meal to arrive in a restaurant

To day the Police acted firmly to minimise disruption, in the recent past they have done the exact opposite. Guess it one law for the establishment and another for the rest of us.

Tempura corgi with a dipping sauce is an exquisite starter though.

I fail to comprehend why civil disobedience is met with more pushback than "donations" (clientelism). Both seek to bring about change by circumventing the electorate. One does it in a clear, obvious and accountable way. The other does it through a legalized system of corruption. I think by focusing on civil disobedience and ignoring clientelism we neglect the parasitic impact upon our democracy.

Some people were choosing between heating and eating and are still struggling to get food on the table and we must be spending an absolute fortune over these four days. Incredible excessive waste of money. As for the protesters they didn’t disrupt anything by the looks of it. They must have known they would be arrested and will likely have the book thrown at them. Got to respect their commitment.

No. I wouldn't eat Corgi. Well not knowingly anyway. I guess if I was in Thailand and were served food without knowing what it is. Oh, I have just outed myself as one who eats the rolls when waiting for the meal haven't I? And as a potential Corgi consumer too.

A bath? How positively nineteenth century. Bathing in ones own dirt is awful…on that grounds alone you’re right to want them shot by the army. Showers are the only sensible option. I do agree with you that they (the royals) are freaks.

Not really hard at all…quite relaxing really. Well apart from the occasional riff-raff element draped in red, white and blue being rowdy - apparently some OAP is celebrating being on benefits for 70 years.

That’s the crux of it, isn’t it. Whether the message is right, or the time is right is all irrelevant. In a mature society at ease with itself, people should be able to protest. Even noisily and even causing disruption (shock, horror!). Given the move by this government to curtail our rights to protest, I’m all for anyone pushing back against those boundaries whether or not I support their cause.

I was conflicted with IB's tactics but to call them idiots, not so sure about that. There are people prepared to put themselves in the firing line for the common good so should at least be respected for that. The need to insulate homes is surely more desperate than ever and with the current fuel crisis is the one practical step that can be taken. Late 90s/2000s it was all about insulating homes with all sorts of schemes popping up. Shame much of it was ill thought out and subject to scamming but the concept was always the right one. Should have been re-modelled and pursued.
