Our expectations for Piers were on the floor but Mick Lynch having to interrupt to tell him that hood from thunderbirds isn’t the most evil man in the world and is in fact a pupped made from vinyl, is another level
Finally, here’s someone secure enough and responsible enough in their role (representing workers who have elected them) to call out interviewers and the news editors who shape the style. And in doing so expose their utterly dire standards.
It’s been a long time coming that someone held our useless political media to account. Hopefully, many others have caught on.

Exactly.
On Politics Live yesterday, he called out the guff that the Tory MP was coming out with by saying: "That's just rubbish that Conservative Central Office have put out for backbench MPs to spout".
We need much more of this.

Unfortunately, as soon as the strike is over/somehow resolved, it’s likely Mick Lynch won’t be invited on anything remotely mainstream any more.
He’s far too dangerous to the status quo. And I’m almost waiting for him to be accused of antisemitism next. They’ve already gone down the Marxist and terrorist-sympathising lines.

They could ask him about the RMT's support for Brexit but it seems that most of the tv media aren't willing to go there.
I was wondering, having seen him over the last few days on the telly, how things would have gone if we’d put him in charge of the Brexit negotiations with the EU. But no, the elite decided to cock that one up themselves.
In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Which elite was that, the anti-Brexit elite, or the pro-Brexit elite?
Just one small problem; sell their houses to who, Ben? Fcking Aquaman?

Probably just differently crap given the general failure across much of the political class to understand the UK's relationship with the EU, either pre-2016 or now,

I don't want to like him, but can't help it, he's very good at what he does.
Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

The elite that went to Nottingham Free then Oxford then the FCO then became a life peer and was made a Baron.

The general demonising of trade unionists has never been a good thing. Len McCluskey was also a force for good but was marginalised as someone working against the country rather than for its workers.
The disparity in seriousness and real-world relevance between someone like Lynch and his interviewers in the politics/media goldfish bowl is marked.

Mcluskey was an electoral liability with his labour connections, and an appalling hypocrite / champagne socialist.

It's an excellent example of putting somebody who is very good at his job in the right position. I've loved watching him.
