Tipped? It's nailed on - she's Truss' campaign manager and best friend. Will also be Health Secretary which is a bit of a joke....!
Generally though, as someone who has been in charge of DWP for a while, she's managed to quietly go about her business without causing major ructions which is unusual from those in cabinet roles under this Govt

Truss will surround herself with loyalists, as she knows the party is still divided on her appointment.
A journalist was saying Graham Brady already had or will have 12 letters of no confidence by the end of the week.

Considerably. You now have all four offices of state run by lightweight incompetents - and if Liz looks the wrong way crossing the road Coffey would be PM.
There’s even talk of ‘the captain’ Ian Duncan-smith making a comeback.

I heard Ian Duncan Smith being interviewed on radio 4 earlier.
He still doesn't understand the first thing about economics after 35 years in Parliament.
Regardless of your opinions on specific economic issues, one or two of his comments were plain laughable.

My story about Mr thicky duncan smith bears retelling.
His full name is george iain duncan smith. He rarely mentions the 'george'. When he took over at DWP in around 2010, he didn't even tell his Private Office staff.
When he first needed to make a flight on official business, his staff booked a ticket for iain duncan smith.
You can guess what happened when he turned up to check in....

We are rid of Patel, Gove, Raab, Mad Nads and Johnson.
Struggling to see their departures as bad.
With the arrival of Braverman and Coffey and more to come, I am not sure we are getting anything less dreadful. Indeed, to some degree it may well be worse.
Since Truss is the Tory Party's attempt to appoint as close to Boris as possible, that shouldn't be much of a surprise either.
