I suspect that she has persuaded him to drop another one or two of the tax breaks he gave away in the mini budget and if that doesn't work then she will sack him next week, gives her an extra week before she has to go herself. Agreed. Shoving him out to take the hit doesn’t take away her accountability. They should both be resigning or fired and a general election called. Enough is enough.
There should be coalition to keep the country running until the election headed up by Starmer or Basil Brush for all I care. Just get a government in with a mandate. What the tories do about a leader is their problem.
