It's the "Some say football is a matter of life or death. It's more important than that" stuff. It's just one game in a season and there are some on here who have their knickers in a twist. Just go commando is what I say.

You did upvote! I think that's a good demonstration of how, under stress, we can all get things a bit Pete Tong, & don't deserve to be called [redacteds] for it

I'll agree if I make the same mistake three times over in quick succession rather than learning my lesson.

It;s been a while... on 17:50 - Oct 29 with 2127 views | Superblue95 | Not sure it should be any surprise that we’ve thrown away a 2 goal lead again, not once, but twice in a single match and that we are annoyed about it. It’s an increasingly worrying trend that almost every single game that we go 2 up we get pegged back and frustration with that has boiled over today. Apparently 4-2 is just as dangerous a score line as 2-0.

If you think it is acceptable to throw away 3 two goal leads in 180 minutes then that's fine.

I don't, & it isn't. But you yourself have demonstrated that human beings make errors under stress.

Walton having a nightmare aside, I'm not sure whether it is errors or a deep seated issue with us though. The EADT live commentary spelt it out, the two final goals - "Deep cross to the far post..." "Deep cross to the far post..." I'm starting to think our defensive players are vampires.

I do think that KM, as a few others have hoped, will spend time over the next few days analysing how we regularly don't defend leads, and at changing our pattern of substitutions, which I also think needs shaking up.

I agree - one of my saner posts/threads today was saying the one I wish McKenna would do differently is the subs. I don't think Donacien, Woolfenden and Edmundson are the right combination at the back. Nice with the ball, but lack a bit of guile defensively. I think we need at least one of Keogh or Burgess in the back line.

Take an hour or two and provide some reasoned comments. Ta.

As someone has pointed out though. It's twice now we've let games go after bringing Keogh on. Last week he was chasing balls and leaving his position. Hopefully more appearances will bring more solidness but at the moment he's not the answer.

It's been said elsewhere but I would prefer us to bring on an extra central midfielder when trying to see out a game - not muck around with the defence. [Post edited 29 Oct 2022 23:12]
