Match day presentation…. 07:12 - Dec 27 with 4414 views | ITFC_Forever | …is dreadful. Sack everyone. Foz almost left Cameron Burgess out of the pre-match line up run down, and then played Status Quo at the end. All-round nice guy and a legend of the local music and radio scene though he is, stadium announcing is not his best suit.

Match day presentation…. on 07:16 - Dec 27 with 4362 views | Fixed_It | He's very much a remnant of the Evans era. A likeable bloke, but not really up to this particular job. Trouble is, I am not sure he's bad enough for anyone to do anything about it, and I can't see it being raised at the Fans Forum when he is the compere! [Post edited 27 Dec 2022 7:17]

Hmmm. Awkward! | |

Match day presentation…. on 07:38 - Dec 27 with 4237 views | dickie | Legend in the local blues music and covers scene, never did much for anything else. Smashing bloke though but definitely get Rob Chandler back
Match day presentation…. on 07:44 - Dec 27 with 4206 views | RegencyBlue | Been saying that for a while. Rob Chandler was a hard act to follow but the club can surely do better than this?
Match day presentation…. on 07:53 - Dec 27 with 4172 views | SheffordBlue | Dave Vance, the guy who does the Fanzone announcing and has covered for Foz occasionally is better suited to the role I think. Far more energy which is needed for the job.

Match day presentation…. on 08:36 - Dec 27 with 3939 views | MillsTash | Agreed. He’s awful. Lots of us in lower north want him gone. Terry Butcher as match day announcer for me.
Match day presentation…. on 08:44 - Dec 28 with 3340 views | Sharkey | Status Quo always remind me of John Wark. I think it's a double denim thing. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Match day presentation…. on 08:59 - Dec 28 with 3263 views | SlippinJimmyJuan | Yes, he has clearly been told to get things a bit more lively of late, but he still sounds like a dusty head of year giving a school assembly. Hopefully next season will bring a change. I would also add that they could do a better job of whipping up an atmosphere with music before the game. Just feels a bit bland.

Match day presentation…. on 08:59 - Dec 28 with 3261 views | artsbossbeard | Was hoping for Enjoy Yourself by The Specials to follow a 3-0 win on Boxing Day. Status Bloody Quo though....

I've got a soft spot for 70s Status Quo (not that song though) and even I was appalled by the choice - who earth thought that was a good one to round off the year with?!

Match day presentation…. on 09:49 - Dec 28 with 3080 views | Pinewoodblue | The voice of Anfield has been doing it for 50+ years and is well into his 70’s. Made his first announcements on the day Kevin Keegan played his first game at Anfield. Love his dulcet tones.

George Sephton. His book is pretty decent too.

Match day presentation…. on 10:32 - Dec 28 with 2916 views | LankHenners | Wonder if the club felt like they 'owed' it to him in some way. I'm sure Rob Chandler said in one of his interviews with the local media when he left that when he first got the job Foz was desperate for it but they gave it to him instead. Think anyone would be a downgrade on Chandler tbh as he had the perfect mix of the right voice and charisma for the job but, whilst I don't think anyone wants to be too harsh on Foz, we need someone else in there. If they're going to play music at the end they might as well just stick Hey Jude on as it's very 'join-in-able'.

Match day presentation…. on 10:41 - Dec 28 with 2884 views | JackNorthStand | I agree. Get Rob Chandler back. That playing Status Quo at deafening volume was also a bad choice. On that note I think they should scrap music t the end of the match after a win and allow the fans singing and applause be heard by the players as they give their thanks to the crowd. Agree. If anything, maybe Ed Sheeran or something associated with the club. Rocking all over the world was such a cringe choice. But as you say I'm happy with no music while applauding the players. Perhaps something on after that while leaving the ground.

Should always be the sound of the fans for good or ill at the end of the game. If some sort of anthem/song breaks out so be it.

Match day presentation…. on 11:23 - Dec 28 with 2670 views | DJR | It's only in the last two games, in section 3 of SBR, that I've been able to make out what is being said over the loudspeaker system.
Match day presentation…. on 11:55 - Dec 28 with 2572 views | blaggers | Agreed. Foz is no Rob Chandler, and as we (finally) move into a more modern era of pre-match presentation and packaging, the current set-up is not good enough. The big screen presentation surely is used to get people into the ground early enough to watch a bit of the pre-match show, but it defo needs a new presenter.

Match day presentation…. on 12:44 - Dec 28 with 2447 views | Deano69 | Cant help but agree, Foz is more than good on the radio, but not really the personality for a game day. that said, nor is that Wayne guy, too shouty and full of himself. Bring Back Rob

Match day presentation…. on 17:09 - Dec 28 with 2230 views | bluebudgie | Agree with the comments re Foz and the awful music after the Boxing day game. The whole matchday experience needs a good revamp with Foz going. I used to attend speedway meetings in the 70s and 80s and they had an announcer called John Earry who could whip the crowd up and create a blinding atmosphere as good as The Witches were then it must have affected the riders to give that bit extra..so Mr. Ashton if you read this forum please put Foz out to grass and bring in a dynamic announcer with some personality to help get the crowd going, and no more Rocking All Over The World at the end of the game played at ear-busting levels,, [Post edited 28 Dec 2022 17:12]

John Earrey is a legend of Ipswich sport for his contribution at Foxhall for the speedway, stock cars and in his capacity as stadium manager which he held for many years.
