As has been widely mooted he’s going to be recalled by Swansea in the next day with Derby & us bidding for him. Argyle have tried to keep him but can’t compete financially. I know it’s been rumoured of our interest but this has come from a contact at Plymouth end. Apologies if wrong & I’m not trying to be a def info merchant, but if true then our intent is clear. Believe he’s played for Derby before but could McKenna & Ashton tempt him here.

Don’t think it’s true because Derby can’t pay fees for players currently.

Could be wrong but I think this is the first window that they can.

Edit: They can’t so it’s likely they will be offering money for a loan which they can do, so I’d imagine we’d be offering the same.

My tiny bit of info is that Piggot returning in Jan. can’t imagine he’ll be in our plans, so must have somewhere lined up for him, maybe a loan to buy with Portsmouth helping a bit with wages.
He was chatting for a long time with Edmundson after the game - I could try and make something juicy up about that but imagine they were just catching up.

When I was first told about our interest it was suggested to me that Swansea were unlikely to sell so we'd be interested in a loan as we could pay all his wages whereas Plymouth are only paying a proportion. But if they were willing to sell for a price we saw as fair, it wouldn't surprise me if we looked to sign on a permanent basis.

What a farce if they can pay a loan fee but not a transfer fee! Effectively simply a limit on the number of transfers they can make due to the limit on number of loans.

To be fair, that article is simply Schumacher saying they are progressing well where they are and their parent clubs should be happy for them to stay. He is correct but it is no guarantee that the parent clubs see it the same way.

I know that, but he's equally as unlikely to say "he's staying" if he's been told otherwise by Swansea, or if he even thinks he *might* go back.

What will his footballer nickname be? You can't easily just add a y on either of his names for the instant footballer nickname.

Maybe Morgs? Not really happy with that to be honest.

Can't see him coming here, at the moment he's playing well scoring goals and has an easy M5 then M4 journey back home to his family, why on earth would he venture over to Suffolk mid season leaving family over in Wales?

The bigger picture and all that..

Sounds like there is something in it, if anything it might mean Plymouth having to pay his whole wage to Swansea to keep him, which isn’t a bad thing.
