And how would a transition away from jump racing, as perfectly-politely suggested by another poster in the initial thread, threaten the existence of thoroughbred horses in any way?
On the other side of the coin, it's not as if thoroughbred horses are only bred for horse racing anyway. They are also bred for dressage, polo, and show jumping. To suggest that any change to horse racing would endanger the entire thoroughbred breed is utterly disingenuous. | |
