Which ground/s have you visited most? (other than PR) 12:28 - Sep 9 with 5874 views | gainsboroughblue | Been looking through the various Town seasons trying to tally. My days of regular away travel was between 1988-1992 and again between 2003-2011. Selhurst Park appears to be my winner. 86-87 v Charlton 90-91 v Charlton 92-93 v Wimbledon 03-04 v Palace 05-06 v Palace 07-08 v Palace 08-09 v Palace 10-11 v Palace Honorable mentions for Carrow Road (unsurprisingly), Layer Road/Weston, Upton Park, Filbert Street, City Ground, The Valley and Soton (Dell/St Marys). Which ground/s have you visited most? (other than PR) on 15:28 - Sep 9 by bluelagos | Late 80s as a student we used to head to Bramall Lane, probably took in half a dozen games each season so around 20 odd times. Same when in Kingston London about 15 years ago, saw Wimbledon a dozen or so times and probably around 40 games at Craven Cottage, easy to get tickets and cheap. Seen England at Wembley at least a dozen times. |
Be the Valley, Carrot Rd then New Wembley for me.

We managed to get in the River End. Went with a neighbour and his cousin was a Norwich fan and came to the ground with us, and when we heard what was happening he got us some tickets.

Bristol was one of my local away days when I was at Uni in Cheltenham, so I had plenty of visits there back then, and then they carried on as soon as I moved to S. Wales. I like making a day of it - get down the docks mid-morning for brunch and a coffee/newspaper in a cafe. Then wander down towards the ground and stop off at the SS Great Britain. A couple of pints at the Avon Packet before heading off to the game. I’ve missed it the last few years.

Both Rovers and City had very good teams when I was there and got promoted - City reached the top division with a nucleus of players who had played Town in the FA Youth Cup final. For a while I’d go and watch them if they were in or near London after a took a Jon there. The highlight of walking to Eastville was to stop off at The Fox, which was one of the first CAMRA. Pubs in the country….and you could walk from one end of the ground to the other at half time.

I did Filbert St twice in two days :) Been to Reading at least 7 or 8 times (I live in Reading) including Elm Park. Oxfod probably 5 times Wycombe 4 or 5 times QPR 5 times Brentford 4 or 5 times Noj 4 or 5 times. Am I weird by not keeping a record of all the games I go to? Or just weird?

No, not weird. I haven’t either. I wish I’d done so though, given how rubbish my memory is on this. It’s not helped by attending plenty of non-ITFC games with chums, in-laws (Leicester) and my dad when at a loose end.

For similar reasons due to being oop North for several years, Huddersfield Town at Leeds Road.

There was a danger that the Wham Stadium was going to eventually gain top spot had we not gotten out of League One.

Which ground/s have you visited most? Indeed, I have only been to two league games not featuring Ipswich, although I do regret not going to see the Col Utd v Leeds FA Cup game, which my dad and I had thought about going to.
