Fascinating who is willing to defend Brand without even looking at the detailed allegations.

The whole Andrew Sachs thing was a massive red flag a long time ago too.

He's like some drunk, bitter old man on his own in the pub ranting at everyone. I don't even bother reading his posts, I noticed one where he suggested Lucy Letby was a spurned lover and that women scorned do irrational things and I pulled him up on what offensive b0llocks he was talking but for the most part I skip past what he writes. This thread does seem to have seen one casualty though.

He has a history of misogyny on here. Never gets pulled up on it because of who his targets have been.

He’s also had posts removed for calling people of colour “uncle Toms” and has also posted that certain POC are ashamed of their ethnicity. All swept under the carpet and indulged on here for far too long.

I think the title of the dispatches documentary is very apt. The guys behaviour was weird even on camera or out in public. I wouldn’t want to imagine what it’s like behind closed doors.

Why do you think people like Brand, Trump and many many others spend so much time attacking the so-called 'mainstream media' and so much time championing 'citizen journalism'?

So that when things comes out, in a regulated media, with counter checks and editorial standards, their fans don't believe it, see it as a 'conspiracy' and look the other way toward unregulated citizen journalism as 'their truth'. The very same environment that has allowed the likes of Alex Jones to thrive.

A fair few on here fall for the same trick constantly.

I’ll have to respectfully disagree with you dubbers. When I was pulling him fur sone of the racist remarks he aimed at the likes of Badenoch on here over a year ago I was told that if I was more offended by Harry’s attacks on Tories rather than what the Tories were doing to the country then it said an awful lot more about me than Harry.

He was indulged by a certain section of people in here because of who he was aiming his remarks at. It’s only been noticed more recently because he’s widened his net somewhat.

Racist remarks aimed at Badenoch were tolerated because, well it was Badenoch. Misogynist posts aimed at Carrie Johnson were tolerated because, well it it was Boris Johnson’s wife.

I think I was on sabbatical for the Badenoch stuff but I remember pulling him up for comments about both Carrie and Boris Johnson. The fat shaming stuff of Boris, whilst not as bad as the misogyny, was always unnecessary and unpleasant.

Some of this was probably before my time but as I don't generally read what he posts unless it is short and to the point, it may have just passed me by.
