Big weekend for him then

I won't repost my earlier remarks (Phil deleted it and it's his site and I respect that).

HOWEVER, I feel like the dispatches came with plenty of receipts to justify my wording regarding his vibes, even before the allegations of serious sexual assaults and rape.

The conversation with Jimmy Saville sounded like 2 peas in a pod. *Shudder*

Just to add some context a clip from Daniel Sloss, the comedian who speaks to Dispatches about Brand.

Some of this was probably before my time but as I don't generally read what he posts unless it is short and to the point, it may have just passed me by.

Why do you think people like Brand, Trump and many many others spend so much time attacking the so-called 'mainstream media' and so much time championing 'citizen journalism'?

So that when things comes out, in a regulated media, with counter checks and editorial standards, their fans don't believe it, see it as a 'conspiracy' and look the other way toward unregulated citizen journalism as 'their truth'. The very same environment that has allowed the likes of Alex Jones to thrive.

A fair few on here fall for the same trick constantly.

Yes, the whole approach is obvious, just interesting to see how the bubbles overlap. It's not really surprising to see those still arguing vehemently to defend Brexit in the same boxes.

Probably the best advice is at the very end, and it involves both fathers and mothers , namely, "talk to your effing boys", and make sure they grow up to respect women.

Did you see the Beeb docu on the Tate bros a couple of nights ago? Even more shocking than I expected. Basically they're cascade-selling & franchising their "expert" techniques & methods for grooming, coercively controlling & basically enslaving girls & women.

I didn't but that sounds particularly awful.

I removed a couple of posts prior to the documentary which might have proved legally dodgy as we didn't know precisely what was going to be alleged.

You may want to edit your statement as what you’re describing without evidence, is just you citing a conspiracy theory. I’m not saying I don’t think there’s logic to it, it just reads that way.

This forum is generally pretty decent with the exception of you, Herbivore and Mullet strutting about with some kind of superiority complex (again, given the context of what this platform is, deeply ironic). The way you lump on any post all together reminds me of playground bullies - take the constant bad ridiculing of Frimmer’s posts for example. Only, you’re all a little bit wet and remind me more of the Power Puff Girls; Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup.

Divide up between you who wants to be who.

I’ll stop wasting my Sunday now; you clearly will beat me on that front given how much time you spend on here and how little you have to do. See you on the other side where we wait with baited breath at the next witless, repetitive retort to a Frimmer’s post.

You could always try reading/watching/listening to what T.rump & the others referred to actually say, so you can form your own conclusions without having to depend on the analysis of others ...

When I was 19/20, to me Brand was this eloquent, slightly deranged, funny bloke whom I thought spoke a lot of sense. Then as I grew older it became clear that the schtick was actually a bit dodgy, and he was really just a dilettante and a sciolist. In recent years I'd managed to avoid him completely. I'm not surprised but I am saddened for all those who he hurt.

He was never eloquent. Used lots of big words, but rarely in an eloquent and well structured manner. More pretentious and loquatious.

Well yes, quite. My point being that when I was 19/20, it felt eloquent. More fool the younger me.
