To lighten the mood and thinking of the good ole Christmas Selection Box, I was wondering what peoples’ preferences were?

Excluding a bar of Cadburys Milk, for me it has to be a Mars Bar. It is a wonderful creation. Just pop it in the fridge. When chilled take a sharp knife and cut into chunks in the wrapper to retain any chocolate shards. Slice the wrapper length ways and a parcel of joy will be there before you.

Unsurpassed.

I do like a few chunks of Cadburys Dairy Milk but the winner is obviously a Toffee Crisp.

A Toffee Crisp is a good thing. Second after the king - the Mars Bar. A Crunchie bar is good too.

Surely a Snickers is automatically better? It's got everything a Mars has plus delicious peanut goodness.

You can get decent vegan alternatives for both, thankfully.

Can’t abide the favour of peanuts. Ban!

They should be called Marathon, not Snickers. I’m all for originality

The answer is Double Decker.

Best from the fridge so the nougat is chewy.

Bah! Optimum temperature for a double decker is room temperature

I miss a Double Decker. A fine, fine chocolate bar.

The international food mart in our town stocks then occasionally along with out of date tins of Quality Street. They have literally a whole aisle of various Turkish Delight offerings but very little Cadbury’s. It’s a hard knock life

Anyone remember Aztec bars? You have to be old and decrepit like me. Introduced in the early 70s by Cadburys they were a direct competitor to Mars Bars.

They came in a snazzy purple wrapper and were nearly as good as the real thing. But clearly weren’t as they were discontinued in the late 70s.

So true. I'm not sure what people think the salad drawer is for, if it isn't to be filled with chocolate.

Like what the Snickers bar offers, but find them too sweet; I've been taste testing a few of the supermarket own brand rip-offs, and the Lidl one (with the Ronseal name Peanut Choco ) is the current leader.

Although obviously the correct answer to the OP's question is a Biscuit and Raisin Yorkie
