You have a customer number don't you?

You buy the membership thru the customer number and hey presto... Welcome to Monday mornings stampede!

Great thanks

So when is this likely to sell out? How many tickets are available, and will it make it as far as the second stage - members with season tickets?

21000 season ticket holders. capacity of 29,673, though previous Norwich games theyve always taken a good few hundred off that for crowd control reasons, minimum of 2,000 away fans.

so make it 6,500ish up for grabs. Id be surprised if we had that many non ST members who wanted a ticket, but maybe there are, Id be amazed if it made it to general sale stage though.

I tend to agree. As may have been suggested has it been done to stop Norwich fans in bandit country, in particular those such as Eye that have an ip postcode from buying tickets?

absolutely, and I should have added for the playoff game at Portman Rd against them, so arguably the biggest game at Portman Road in the last decade, and we were obviously doing quite well, it went to general sale because thats how I picked up a ticket :)

29,166 in case you were wondering.

What's to stop a Norwich supporter at the start of the season buying a membership to try to get a ticket in the home end, in the knowledge they won't be able to get one in the away end? It makes for an expensive ticket, but I'm sure it's been considered.

The solution is to make sure that those who get priority actually go to home games. This seems to be the best solution to keep the home areas to only home fans. I'm guessing it's not about penalising people, but more about ensuring proper segregation.

Lol, Norwich didn’t dare come in the home end when they were top on 2011, demand was low and we were awful. You think they’re going to buy a ITFC membership to start now?!

My guess is it doesn't reach the normal ST window, as almost everyone in the first two priority windows will know someone who wants to go surely. There won't be any waiting around for better seats either, which some have been doing recently in anticipation of the V1 away section becoming available on the Thursday/Friday before the game.

I get that you can't please everyone, but what is logic behind not having a sales window for members without a ST, who have purchased less than 3 home league match tickets since the start of last season?

As it stands, a non-ITFC fan who knows a ST holder will probably get a ticket, but an ITFC supporter who has bought a membership and follows the club away from home has to wait until general sale.

I can understand the club wants to avoid Norwich fans buying a membership just for this match, but this always used to be done by only selling tickets to fans who were on the database with a purchase history prior to this season.

I'm a ST holder so this isn't sour grapes, I'm just curious why the club has alienated a section of their fanbase.

Unlikely I know, but there are potentially a handful of fans who will qualify for a ticket to Norwich away - but not at home.

Isn’t it nice in a way though people are actually arguing over not enough tickets available. Oh how far we have come!! Soon we will have a 35-40k capacity. Maybe that will help 😊

The club statement is a bit misleading when it says "will need to have purchased at least three home league match tickets from the start of last season (2022/23)" when the reality is "will need to have match tickets for three home league fixtures from the start of last season (2022/23) assigned to your account"

It is pretty annoying to find that, despite easily attending enough league games with my dad and son to qualify, the way they are assigned to our individual accounts means that none of us actually qualify (mutiple tickets assigned to one account, or no tickets assigned at all when we had a mascot package).

“ when the reality is "will need to have match tickets for three home league fixtures from the start of last season (2022/23) assigned to your account"”

Do you know that to be the case?

I agree - it is a little unclear, given that it is something that can be very specifically defined (and will have been in the system).

yes, I spoke to the ticket office this morning. And they won't (or can't) reassign any tickets.

Just wait until we increase ticket prices in the PL by 40%.

Then it will be a whole different type of moaning...

Surely the main reason for buying a membership.... on 17:57 - Nov 21 by Reus30

I have the perfect example for you.

I only get to go to home games when I venture my lazy bottom down back South.

I had seen the fixtures and if available, I could have made the trip home to see my loved ones for 5 minutes before heading off and getting to see something/someone that I actually love at Portman Road and it just so happens it's a derby.

Again, to reiterate, it's a fair system. Little point in complaining. Next time we play them at home in 2042, I'll make sure I have seen enough home games.

Is this satire? It's getting hard to tell lol

Ah - thanks.

So it is based on the assigned owner?

E.g.
Dad buys 2 tickets.
Assigns 1 to his son.
They gain 1 match each in the rules?
Rather than Dad gaining 2, son 0.

Sorry I forgot to reply, the ticket office confirmed this as well. They claimed they encourage the purchasing account to assign tickets to each attending supporter's account. You are forced to do this when you are buying tickets in a priority window, when it is one ticket per supporter account, but you are not forced (or even encouraged) when there is no such restriction.
