However, it isn't purely a training excercise, but also a competitive match we want to win. If it's true he's nursing an injury, that's all the more reason not to include him.

He's been off his game and we've brought in Travis who can play full back..... and we now have 4 loanees..... and we probably need 2 strikers/10s.... maybe just one.... and you'd think we'd need to make a space for a loanee if we cant get a permanent deal over the table. and Woolfie, Morsy, Taylor, Hutchinson, Harness and Broadhead arent ?
compare that team with the one he put out against Fulham in the league cup and only Taylor & Harness started the game. (Tuanzebe did also start but I dont quite consider him an ever present in the side yet to be a surprise inclusion in the team for this game & Hutch came on as a sub)
except for Clarke & Davis missing thats a pretty strong near 1st team starting setup against lower league opposition, considering we have Leicester and Sunderland coming up, and only Williams is the one guy we are "resting" for it, because he's looked alot lately like he needed a rest ???
unless he's injured/ill, which we wont find out because no-one in the media dares ask anymore, or Team Ineos are concerned about him being cup tied, then I dont see why he wouldnt be in the squad for this game, if he was here till the end of January let alone the rest of the season | | | |

He's a young player who's had some good and indifferent moments, picked up a few cards. Just having come from the ManU Youth system doesn't automatically make him a first-on-the-teamsheet world-beater. He's still learning and developing.
Until there is concrete evidence of a poor attitude hampering his progress, I'll continue to give him the benefit of the doubt. | |
