There has been a clear lack of quality cover. At one point of the season he made it look like Harry Clarke was going to struggle to play again this season. When Clarke was in the team at the beginning of the season, Williams was good cover for Clarke and vice versa. Ideally you would want to players competing for the position rather than one who gets the position if fit and the other just being back up. | | | |

Oh how I wish these off-pitch issues (which I am yet to find any detailed gossip about, anywhere) could just be resolved and we can have him back. There was a run of 2/3 games where he was world class. Then suddenly 'illness' and he was never the same. He's perfect otherwise - already acquainted with McKenna, and his history with Nodge.
He is out of contract in the Summer I believe. |  |

Add me to that list - I have no idea about the story that is untold (and left in the dark on this TBH) but I am interested in whether it means we will ever see the good Brandon Williams back this season. If the answer is "give it a couple of weeks and he will be back and firing", then happy days.

Perhaps McKenna would like Williams back here as a player, as a fit & focused Williams would be a big asset to Town, so he's hoping his "issues" are resolved. As it was a season long loan & if he isn't formally recalled by Man U, he can return to Town & play at any stage of the rest of this season. |  |

How do you know McKenna has left it up in the air. All of this could be totally beyond his control and wouldn’t mind betting there’s some pretty onerous clauses in the loan contract about termination etc. | | | |
