We need to be better than three of those which will take some work but is far from undoable
Hopefully the McKenna saga is sorted out soon and we can start progressing with the transfer strategy
I know Ashton is thorough and will have plans in place but this uncertainty can't be helping the transfer strategy with a manager fairly important to the players we do recruit! |  |

Unsure if I see Palace being down there, perhaps a Brentford/ Bournemouth. On the one hand it is clear there is a massive gap from the champ to the prem. On the other hand there are multiple levels within the prem, and our b team did beat wolves and come close to Fulham last season, so I do like to think that our improved first team could get points off a lot of mid table prem teams. |  | | |

The way Brighton finished the season, they’re not completely out of danger too. Same with Fulham. Bournemouth and Brentford are capable of slipping into the mix too. Plenty of sides could struggle. |  |

Outside of 6-8 teams (City, United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Villa, Newcastle) all sides are one poor season away from a relegation battle. A few misfiring signings and injuries to key players and they'll struggle. |  |

You’ve forgotten Everton who will be docked points again - as well as notionally Chelsea and Man City. Brentford will lose players and probably now their manager as well. Bournemouth will have point docked - as will Wolves and Forest.
Didn’t help last season’s teams much - and Leicester and Ipswich have already had the rug pulled out beneath them. Southampton might prove to be marginally the best of the promoted teams - but few would bet against all three coming straight back down. | |

Palace should be pushing for Europe next year. If Everton don't get a points deduction again, they are looking like they will kick on. Forest look very vulnerable. West Ham have made a very good appointment. If the season starts off the wrong way for Fulham, Bournemouth, and Wolves, they could really struggle. Brentford look like relegation candidates. Brighton fit the profile of an established Premier League team getting relegated as they look like they have hit their ceiling and have sold a lot of their best players and now need a good appointment. We can get a few points off of the teams at the top of the table, but as long as we win and draw against the other teams, we will be alright. | | | |

I would take Palace out of there with their form towards the end of the season with a new manager. I reckon Wolves will really struggle as see them losing Neto and a few others. Forest, Leicester, Bournemouth and Southampton will be bottom 6 I reckon. I see us being ok. It is all about the start. Get our first win early and we will be ok. [Post edited 27 May 2024 11:40]

Palace? They are alot better than a potential relegation battler, just a look at their last 10 years will show you they regularly finish mid table. Glasner has got them playing some decent football and even if they lose eze/olise they'll be able to bring in some good replacements. Don't believe you can target certain games and certain teams to take points off. The last two seasons according to McKenna each game is taken as it comes. Therefore we need to take points off whoever we can. We ain't gonna win the league that's pretty certain. We need several players to replace those that have gone back to their clubs, those that are gone or are going. It won't be easy as the last two seasons have shown with those promoted then relegated. It really is about survival and building. Our needs are in all three areas, defence, midfield and attack. Taking into account all that have gone and maybe to go it could be up to 10 players needed. | | | |

West Ham haven't made a very good appointment. Lopetegui's record is very patchy, far more miss than hit and I wouldn't be surprised to see him gone by Christmas. The move away from Moyse's style may also be a problem. |  | | |

We're in a mini league of 14 - everyone outside of Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United. Perhaps Newcastle are taking the step across too. Otherwise, any of the rest could fall foul of the season and go down. All of them are an injury crisis away or an awful run of form from going down.
Forest were in a relegation fight this season. Wolves, Fulham and Brighton all finished the year badly. How long is Iraola going to stay at Bournemouth (as an aside, amazed he hasn't been linked to any available jobs) or Frank at Brentford? What happens to Palace if they lose Olise and Eze? Everton and Leicester have severe financial issues which are still to be sorted. Villa had a great season but a small squad with a European distraction and, again, could Emery be lured away? I'm honestly not sure how West Ham will adapt under Lopetegui and Southampton will be in the same boat as us. | |
