TownTV and Sky 10:51 - Jun 5 with 8587 views | GavTWTD | Am I right in assuming that nothing has changed in regard to still needing TownTV and an international pass for the coming season? The majority of our matches will still be at 3pm on a Saturday won't they? Or maybe 50-70%? Asking for a friend who lives in Milan.

That I don’t know but if you can get it, right now they have a special offer: $19 for 12 months which is a heck of a deal.

TownTV and Sky on 11:00 - Jun 5 by wkj | I bit the bullet and got Sky for the new season for £40 p/m on their streaming plan (Not NowTV). I hate myself for it, but with ad supported NetFlix thrown in I don't think im getting terrible value |
Sky aren't offering the service I was getting from TownTV. I only want to watch ITFC matches because I don't support other teams and I don't want to waste money on other teams. There should be some kind of legal argument for forcing you to pay for content you don't want.

TownTV and Sky on 11:03 - Jun 5 by gringoblue | It doesn't matter whether Sky are showing them or not. All games will be broadcast somewhere. My Forest TV pal says they live stream EFL games (Carabao Cup in this case), youth team games and pre-season matches. Everything else is rights blocked. They do full match replays of premier league games but he thinks the blackout is 48 hours. |
48 hours is a long time to avoid the scores. 24 hours seems more reasonable.

If none of that stuff works, I might just not watch or be so engaged with ITFC while we're in the Premier League. I won't subscribe to SKY for an exorbitant amount for only a few ITFC matches a year.

I managed to do it for 7 days earlier in the year, then binged watched the 3 games I'd missed in one go. Probably easier to do that when you're on holiday though.

It becomes an issue where you have to avoid certain people and not read their messages.
TownTV and Sky on 16:29 - Jun 5 with 1856 views | Vaughan8 | Now TV usually (they have the last 3-4 years) do a dal near when the season starts. Its usually like £20pm for 10 months or something like that. You're not going to get much better than that subscribing abroad and messing about with VPN's etc. If you've got someone to share, you just have to pay for their "boost" (currently £6pm) and share the cost........ So potentially could get sky sports for £13 pm...... | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Nobody is forcing you to pay for anything. There is no god-given right to be able to watch your football team play on tv.

There is no go-given right for the club to retain our support. Clubs trade off the deep bond between supporters and clubs, so they should be subject to some restrictions. I would support government intervention to allow supporters to pay for a package involving only the club you support. What benefit do we actually get from paying for Sky when the club could televise all games? Football is absolutely broken. Any increase in Sky money only goes to inflate wages and doesn't go towards making the business of football sustainable.
TownTV and Sky on 17:19 - Jun 5 with 1758 views | Battersea_Blue | As some on here will know, I really do live in Thailand. I have 2 x different IPTV systems on my Firestick, have thousands of channels on both and can watch any and every Premier league game. However, I bought the season overseas subscription (£140 from memory) to TownTV too and I watched all our games on TownTV this last season, even when they were shown live on Sky. I prefer watching the build up and the ITFC related pundits on TownTV. Perhaps EFL and EPL have different arrangements and it may depend what country you’re actually in as to what’s applicable. I have no idea what will happen this coming season, I hope EPL works the same as EFL. If so, no doubt the price will go up, which is fine. If there is no agreement enabling TownTV to broadcast games the club will lose my tv revenue, along with many others I’m sure.

TownTV and Sky on 11:16 - Jun 5 by GavTWTD | No, I've decided I can't compromise my network by installing IPTV. Really don't trust it at all, and it's not legal (somewhere along the line). It's just not worth it for me as I have you guys to look after. Not all heroes wear capes. Hmm. So I'll see fewer matches this season then? That's rubbish. Bring back the EFL. |
Dodgy firestick £70 a year gets you any sport anywhere in the world live and pay per view…..boxing etc

Without getting all “be careful what you wish for”, this is exactly what the big clubs want. I’m sure Man Utd would be delighted for each club’s fans to be able to subscribe to a service that just shows their matches. No idea how much the ITFC one would cost, but you can be sure we wouldn’t be getting £100m+ from Sky if that was how the rights got sold.

With barely a 90 second lag at worst, It lets me watch football, sport, + ! ! ! ! ! ! live. I guess I was one of the millions watching Fury vs Useck they moaned about. TownTV and Sky on 01:51 - Jun 6 with 1383 views | Europablue | Apparently, Optus Sport lets you watch every match, but I think that is only available for Australian fans. Surely ITFC could direct us foreign based fans to options to watch every town match. Surely a Town TV subscription for those who want the prematch is going to have to be much cheaper?

TownTV and Sky on 11:19 - Jun 5 by bluesbrothers | Realistically you're committing no more of a crime than you were last season, or than you would be if you search for a stream on matchday. Surprised the clubs don't have access to a stream (that they could provide to press) [Post edited 5 Jun 2024 11:20]

The clubs do have access to a stream, as I've read certain owners in the PL do watch games. The model of clubs streaming themselves, is what the big clubs want. They hate the Sky more evenly distributed model and want to sell their own as they figure they'll get much more money. Once that happens the competition in the league, or what is left of it, will be gone.

TownTV and Sky on 09:33 - Jun 6 with 1185 views | Tillz9 | Think it may depend on the country. For example I live in Australia. When Ipswich had televised games on sky being shown on Bein over here we couldn’t watch on town tv always. All of the Prem games are shown over here on Optus so wonder if because of that we won’t get them on town tv. Either way fine by me as Optus is so cheap and they televise every single Prem game live. Not sure about all countries and Prem tv deals but wouldn’t be surprised if it has an impact on availability for town tv overseas

Is a good deal but they have under half the games so I'm not sure it is perfect (not sure how different they are to Sky/TNT fixtures), but I guess at $20 it's worth it anyway. I'll try and find the lowest workable English language annual sub that gets every game.
