As it's now in the public domain...

Yes, we met his agent/representatives in LDN yesterday along with Cajuste's.

McKenna desperate to get him all summer but a permanent deal was too expensive to do.

Is this a loan or permanent.. wondering if we would be interested. Linked before but seemed out of reach financially.

looks like Phillips and Broja could be our two UK loans.
I'm not entirely convinced on him, but need to trust Mck

Broja with Davis' crossing should be tasty.

Broja is one of those players who has such a big reputation relative to what he's ever actually done. There must be a player in there, Fulham bent over backwards to do a deal last summer having chased him on a perm and ended up with a loan. We seemingly want him this year. But on the occasions I've seen him he's never really looked up to much and certainly didn't make much of an impact.

Interesting one to see how it plays out. As you say in KM we trust and certainly wouldn't be the first signing I'm lukewarm about who goes on to show their value.

I think we are limited to 2 Premier League loans. Is there any limit to loans overall? Obviously Cajuste's wouldn't be from the Premier League.

I think you can have 5 overseas and 2 PL loans.

100%
Sometimes looking at a players past doesn't give the full story. if we looked at most players we have loaned in the past (most of them tbh) none have been outright performers and yet here we are with players like Hirst and Omari who performed so well we bought them.

KM we trust for sure!

LOan, I'm told. Valued at £35m, so not really a surprise!

Lots of reports over the last week or so saying he was headed into europe on a season loan with obligation to buy at around 15 million euros - so that's a very different figure.

This line will have been fed to Kinsella by Broja's agent to weed out serious parties.

He's definitely interested in playing for us.

Loan with an option to buy at a stated price would be a very good deal for us. Under McKenna, as with Omari, he could flourish & be completely outside our financial means, even if we have a further year of Premier League money.

Home bankers of the quality we need are out of our price bracket for transfer fee and wages. If KMc can get a tune out of both it could really make a difference this season.

Poor EADT desperate for an exclusive and end up with one about a player who may not have any interest in joining

Hopefully Omari been on the case! But seriously you would think Broja would have spoken to Omari and got a glowing review which may make Broja fancy us over some other PL clubs if in for him

Indeed.

Journos on Chelsea side keen to stress Broja has multiple offers as they'd prefer a sale this window. No-one is prepared to come anywhere close to their £30-£35m asking price though.

They're probably right that it won't be concluded until nearer the end of the month when Chelsea fail to get a permanent suitor.

Have good ITK knowledge on this and was confirmed to me just now that he's not really interested.

But we are pushing hard though as per all the other posts.

I think he'll go to Everton on a perm as long as they can sell Calvert Lewin - which was agreed then collapsed earlier in the summer.

He’ll need to grow his hair a bit longer before getting a perm.

Indeed - you’d think the development aspect would appeal to a younger player. The Omari that finished the season was on a completely different level to the one that joined. Is there anyone better in England at player development - look what KM did for Hirst (struggled elsewhere), and players that had previously unexceptional careers (Burns).

Broja could join us on loan and go back a far better player and get himself a bigger contract/lucrative move. Or he could join someone like Everton under Dyche and just chase long balls all week.
