Getting covered by Carragher on MNF on Sky 18:36 - Aug 19 with 4392 viewsjasondozzell

Complimentary again. Said we were unlucky not to go in at HT one up.

Also we topped the charts for work rate - press, distance covered, etc.

Says if we keep that up we'll be ok!

It's not a surprise we burnt ourselves out a little it's it? Hopefully once all the cavalry arrives we can keep this up for the full 90+ minutes.

The difference between this season and the last two is we could use this approach then use the bench when the starters began to tire. We don't have that depth this season, not yet anyway.

We're going to have to, now we have 4 midfielders and Taylor to back them up mckenna probably obviously I'm not him but instead of subs like last year and league one around the 65-70 mark were going to have to swap the engine room earlier to keep the intensity, maybe 55-60, I think once the newbies settle we will be fine, very competitive,

Indeed, and whereas last year we tended to swap out all of the forwards in most matches, this season I think we'll be swapping out the midfield more often.

The excellent news is that if we can keep up this workrate, teams will slip up and we can turn them over in the final third. We'll get goals from this, but teams like Liverpool and Man City are highly press resistant in order to cope against the best, so I hope we stick at it despite the first two fixtures

Jamie Carragher can fecking do one as far as I’m concerned.

I have done so many real bad things in my life and I’m ashamed of them.

Re what he did, spitting at that father and daughter,, if I had done that I would keep my head down for eternity.

Oh, hang on. He still has a job?

Bunch of arse baby.

You can prove anything with stats. 72% of people know that.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

We need to get sarmiento back

His work rate was excellent. Loved getting back as well as forwards.

We will in six weeks or so, I'd say, assuming we get new signings up to speed and Hirst/Broadhead come back on schedule. Need to hope that we aren't adrift by some ludicrous amount by that point because I do sense that we have a chance once we can rotate properly.

Yes, I think that's a very astute observation, a reflection on the division we're in, and the reason we have gone for two new top class CMs plus Morsy (and ML and JT) rather than a top class one and an understudy, which is what I was expecting.

Taylor can possibly join the ranks of the subs into the supporting forwards section.

Sure Broja will be announced soon to bolster the forward options.

On an individual level I saw that Leif, Salah and Omari had the most (in that order) and they were a way ahead of whoever was fourth.
