Seeing so much on socials about first guaranteed 3 points this week. Playing with fire potentially.

I really hope I'm wrong, but I fear some people might get a rude awakening at the weekend.

This is the premier league, there are no guaranteed 3 pts available and to suggest otherwise is naive and totally disrespectful to the opponent. Nothing annoys me more than hearing others dismiss other teams as though we'll easily dispose of them

I'm looking forward to a game where we're playing on something closer to a level playing field, but Fulham will still be favourites to pick up 3 points, and it would be naïve to think otherwise.

Its a game we can definitely win though!

Someone said to me you get the big games out of the way and you expect to pick up points against a Fulham because it’s not a top 6 team. When it doesn’t happen it’s the hope that gets broken.

If it’s social media and it involves football then there is a 95% change that it’s going to be bollox. Tends to be youngsters trying to be all Green Street or oldies banging on about soulless bowls or proper clubs. All utter bollox.

That’s a very obnoxious way of looking at it. Granted it’s a much better opportunity, but Fulham are a very good side. My worry, is that if we lose comfortably this weekend then the atmosphere around the club / squad turns a little.

Still, it’s out best chance of picking up some points so far this season and hopefully we’ll see Phillips, Clark and O’Shea making their debuts.

All that matters is that KM will not take any team lightly and will play to win. All PL teams are there because they are the best teams in the country and we m guessing that Fulham fans will be expecting three points.

And they've purchased some quality players in this window, players better than our purchases you could argue.

Smith-Rowe, as good if not better than the midfielders we purchased.
Anderson, an experienced Prem CH, prob better than Greaves or O'Shea
Berge, most Burnley fans felt he was their best player in the Prem last season.

I think we'll get a result against Fulham but a few too many fans think it will be easy I feel.

More than obnoxious is absurd. Fulham are a better side than us. We'll have a chance, particularly at home.

Hello brand new poster, can you link to the “socials” you’ve seen where fans are saying Fulham is a guaranteed 3 points.

Fulham are very good.

Seen some label it must win ffs

And then there’s people that think we’ll walk all over them.

Yes it lower opposition but still a very top quality PL side to face.

We’ll need to be very good and think it will be a good competitive game.

That’s the way I see it, Fulham better but hopefully not hugely so, and home advantage may see us through.

On the flip side we have so many new players things may take a while to click.

Agreed. We should be grateful for every point earned this season. Yes, KM will no doubt get our boys up to speed, but Championship this ain't. Anyone *expecting* 3 points from any game this season will be schooled.

I would not be sorry with just one point. McKenna must be desperate for the international break to bed people in. How many will be away on international duty though.

I wouldn't, because there is the definite potential of getting more, especially at home. But a draw would certainly not be a disastrous outcome, getting our first point on the board.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Totally agree, on the one hand Fulham is the sort of game ideally we need to win but it will not be easy. I'd take a draw if other results went our way and it kept us out of bottom 3 at this stage which would be nice going into the international break to get off the mark and not be sat with an R next to our name. If we lose this one, it's going to be a miserable few weeks ahead.

Hopefully the break will give KM the chance to mould his new XI?:

Muric

Johnson O'Shea Greaves Davis

Morsy Phillips

Delap Hutch Clarke

A chum of mine saw them play at the weekend (not an Fulham fan) and said they were very good. I think we will do well to get anything from them with essentially a new team.

The most important outcome will be how competitive we look. Where we stand. This is the first true marker, given we were always going to get rolled over in the first two games.

I’m looking forward to it - it’ll be interesting.

We gave Wolves a good game in the League Cup last season then Fulham showed how much further ahead they were.
That said, I've seen enough from the first two matches that says we can compete well in this league if we cut out the mistakes. It will take a few matches for the team to settle in and they will.
Any slips in the PL will be punished, any openings exploited and every chance has to be on target.

Wasn’t the best indicator against Fulham last year as we changed our entire 11 from the previous game (and Fulham changed 8)

Nobody with a functioning brain will be saying that. Nobody.

Chance of first 3 points, yes. On balance it must be just as likely that we will get none as it will be that we will get 3.

Stop giving attention seeking idiots what they want.
