Don't think it's just that. They had the 8xBet advert on the big screen with 'Club Partner' underneath it. Think 8xBet have probably chucked money at lots of Prem clubs.

8xBet on 10:07 - Sep 1 with 7906 views | BloomBlue | Football is a business, you can only buy the best players if your income is high, advertising is a very important part of that income. If all gambling companies were banned from football I would be happy with that, but they aren't. And I would guarantee if in a transfer window Town weren't buying players and said we cannot afford it because income is low especially from advertising because we don't accept gambling companies, the vast majority of fans would moan about it. But what I do find slightly strange is I know someone who works for a gambling company who doesn't sponsor Ipswich but the company is heavily involved with the Premier League and he (and his Dad) got tickets for Town's 3 league games from his company. Good luck to him, spoke to them at the game on Sat, he said he already has tickets lined up for Brighton and Villa, and for away games they are in the Ipswich end.
8xBet on 10:12 - Sep 1 with 7879 views | textbackup | lol what did you want them to reply? ‘We are sorry that some people can’t control themselves and have a gambling addiction, but we want as much money as possible so we can compete and play in the PL for as long as possible. We’ve spent 20+ years away from this league now, so kindly just fck off’

Every game has had either 8x or one of their group advertised. It does look like some sort of league deal Whether we have anything on top of that I don't know.

I detest gambling being involved in sports and wish it would go the same way as smoking sponsorship. Money is not the be-all and end-all in life, the PL could easily earn money from other sources but they choose the easy path You're not allowed to advertise smoking around kids, so why does gambling get a pass?

Listed as a club partner on the club website. Yet there was no press release about the partnership unlike with other sponsorship deals.

We appreciate you taking the time to get in touch, we are proud to have a fan base that cares deeply about the Club. When we embark on a new commercial relationship, we always work to ensure that it’s the right fit for the Club, both in reference to the commercial terms and the partner itself. 8xBet work with several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester City, Leicester City and AFC Bournemouth, all of whom like us have done the required level of due diligence. Kind regards, **END** I am unhappy about the club's association with 8xBet. You don't have to look too hard to find information of concern on the internet.

They aren’t forcefully taking money from people wallets, they have a choice to make. No accountability for peoples actions these days, always someone else’s fault.

The issue with 8xBet is not merely that they are a gambling outfit. Do some research into them. All very shady.

I think they would all need to be individually assessed but if you are promoting a product around children then you have to be careful about who you let as sponsors

You seem to be so excited to have another pop at people with addiction problems you're missing the point that the issue with 8xBet is more complicated than that. Educate yourself

...a fag on Sir Alf Ramsey Way before the match yesterday. And apparently they sell them in a shop near the ground too. I'm gonna write a letter to the club. "Yours in disgust, Dr Bloots"

Addiction is a horrible thing. The world would be much better if it didn't exist but sadly it does and the companies that promote these products should be handcuffed in what they can do and who they have access to. You can see how dangerous it all is based on the warnings that come with every advert. All of them promote gambling awareness etc. You don't see companies in different industries being forced to do that.

Excited? Weird old expression to use for a serious matter. Research? I don’t need to, it’s not any concern of mine what they do. If the club were happy with them why doesn’t it matter to me?
