The thing about ‘being allowed to have an opinion’ on a forum, is there might be an opposing opinion. And you might be very much in the minority.

Let kane play tonight then call it a day internationally for him? on 21:56 - Sep 10 by FrimleyBlue | But he wasn't. Look it's great he scored a brace. Great goals too. But this one game won't change my opinion on him in the England side against proper opposition. Not being funny. But being paid 200k a week, england basically playing 2 2 5 with 30 shots. He should be involved when the balls on the box for 80% of the game. Anyways. Goals win games so it's all good. |
I think you should reassess your view taking into consideration how Kane plays under Carsley. The way that Southgate set up didn't play to Kane's strengths and often it felt like he should no be starting games in the Euros. The manager should be getting more out of Kane. He's still a world class player. He needs to win something this season!

Let kane play tonight then call it a day internationally for him? on 00:52 - Sep 11 by Vaughan8 | So many people jumping on this "Kane is no good" bandwagon. He had a poor Euros, granted but I can't believe he was fully fit. Let's see what he does this season before we send him to.the scrap heap. The reason he plays a lot of the time is he's the best finisher we've got. It's not all about how many twists and turns you do. [Post edited 11 Sep 2024 0:54]

Totally is. Haaland by FrimleyBlue 31 Mar 2024 20:06He's actually quite rubbish isn't he.
I mean. Sure as a scorer he's rather excellent
But as an actual footballer he's quite pants.
Let kane play tonight then call it a day internationally for him? on 11:04 - Sep 11 with 1304 views | blueasfook | Didnt see last night's game but I thought he had a decent game against ROI. Although he didn't get on the score sheet, he looked much more mobile than he did at the Euros. He clearly wasnt fit at the Euros. When he's on his game, he's our most experienced striker.

Let kane play tonight then call it a day internationally for him? on 18:09 - Sep 10 by FrimleyBlue | Just think his body is gone J2. Despite having years left in the game his body looks shot. The other night he could barely run imo. He was great. But just don't see internationally that he should be first name on teamsheet anymore. |
He was the most productive striker (G+A) in world football last season

what's your point? The haaland, kane debate is one that's discussed outside of the forum of twtd, and also in football studio's by ex high level footballers and managers, there's people for it, people against. look it's cool, im wrong to those who disagree, and right to those who agree, so it's no biggy, as i say it's interesting how twtd is the ONLY Place in football where everyone is on one side of the fence though, very interesting.

Yeah it is discussed in those spheres, but usually with a little more nuance than "he's amazing" vs. "he's sh*t". I haven't heard anyone else genuinely suggesting Harry Kane gets retired from the international scene off the back of the highest-scoring season of his career and one tournament in which he was extremely clearly injured and off the pace. It's not even slightly that TWTD is "the ONLY Place in football where everyone is on one side of the fence", it's just that you perhaps open yourself up for a bit of extra attention when you paint in the incredibly broad strokes that you do. But hey, I'm sure it's everyone else, as usual.

Well no. He's not a winger/wingback and he plays in Germany and has 100 caps for England. Played in the prem for many years and scored countless winning goals. So no don't really know why you're comparing the two. How odd.

Let kane play tonight then call it a day internationally for him? on 22:17 - Sep 10 by FrimleyBlue | Depends if you share the same opinion. If you don't then of course it's a no. If you do then it's a yes. Funny thing opinions. It's funny how twtd is the only place where every single poster appears to be happy with kanes regular inclusion Yet venture away from twtd and you see lots of excellent discussions about him. Unfortunately apart from a small minority like j2, many of you seem incapable of having discussions about football and would rather throw personal insults than discuss things and share your opinions on the subject and why you disagree. Oh well. One day this place will allow discussions to take place. Night all |

You talk some sh1t Have you ever been right on your opinions on anything football related? Not quite a countering views there j2. Just personal insults for daring to start a discussing piece on twtd. And then posters bringing up posts about other strikers. Then another hot take comment from another. I did however like your counter view. So I appreciate that.

It'll be interesting to see. There were many occasions last night where trent got the ball into the box and kane was still standing on the outside of the box with no one in front of him. It got better as the game went on tho. I don't think we need him to do what I'd call his ex Tottenham role. We know he's a scorer so let's leave him in that box and let's the midfielders to the ball work outside the box. I know that's been a studio discussion for many historic games.

Not sure really how you'll get consistent competition when no one else is given a starting run. We craved it in the euros and it didn't happen. I think games like last night are prime times to start giving someone a run. Is it watkins? I dunno. [Post edited 11 Sep 2024 13:44]

68 goals in 100 games possibly suggests we don’t need to start someone else. The Euros was the first time we couldn’t rely on Kane (because of injury), which also coincided with Southgate producing some of the dullest football ever. Any striker would’ve struggled to score with or without an injury.

What is it you're after exactly, my opinions that were lolled at but i was right? " Freddie ladapo would be an ideal KM signing" " I can see us bringing in dane scarlett" ( Although wish we hadn't bothered lol ) " Kalvin Phillips on loan would be ideal for us" I've got plenty, PLENTY wrong, but that's life, and you should know by now, Im happy to share my views either way, but I do so to have a discussion about things regardless of how I know my view isn't going to be popular, it's just the way I am and happy to be this way. I have other 'right' examples too, but honestly i can't be bothered to list them all, but im also honest enough to say i get alot of things wrong. probably 90% 99% of the time.

Let kane play tonight then call it a day internationally for him? on 14:03 - Sep 11 with 985 views | rickw | Obviously this didn't age well, but in the last squad we only had Bowen to come on for him - a winger, so there was no competition. Kane was poor in the summer, but he had also just won the golden boot which suggests he's far from finished so it had to have been another reason why he was poor. Hopefully other strikers will have season's like Watkins did last year and push him and make dropping him a viable option. The reason Kane's got 100 caps in under a decade is because for most of that time he's had no competition for his place - we need someone to come and take it before he's 39 (like Ronaldo)!!

Good call to drop possibly the best striker operating in World football. Dropping Bellingham might be a better call. No obvious place for him in the brave new world
