Liam Delap wasn't born when we last won a Premier League game (before Sunday)!

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

That's nothing. I'm considered old by one of the Veterans team I play for (a bunch of mere over 35s)... I made the mistake of telling them it was my 50th birthday a couple of weeks back and now every time I make a decent pass or tackle, I get the vaguely patronising 'well done' that no one else does.

Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

That's because the team you support does neither of those things.

Once you pass 50, falling over changes from something people laugh at, into people worrying that you've had 'a fall'. You should probably get one of those emergency cords at home so you can alert the emergency services.

I say all this knowing that I also turn 50 next year.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

Next year will be 25 years since the play-off final win.

Sorry, but that shouldn't be allowed.

I mean that was a different age. Beers were under £2 a pint. Average houses were £200k.
You needed good knowledge of PCs and modems to get online and onto this website.
No footballer in England earned over £100k and there were only a couple of rich owners.
Messi and Ronaldo were not yet teenagers. Budget air travel was not quite here as the online booking systems were not yet here, likewise with Amazon, Netflix, Facebook. People lived for the weekend, a chance to meet others and go clubbing, nightclubs were in their heyday. 9/11 was not a thing, so Muslims were just those minority people with a different God that passed by. The BBC was a beloved institution and ranked highly on most trusted brands. Friday night TV was worth staying in for. Europe was a place we might do inter-railing at and lovely foods were coming over and becoming very popular, and coffee shops and Costas were few and far between. TVs had 5 channels. SUVs were Range Rovers and Suzukis and otherwise something seen in America. London was affordable and the Southbank had a Millennium wheel and was newly upscaled, pleasant and not too busy. Rolf Harris was a nice Aussie bloke and Jimmy Saville was some odd bloke no one could quite figure out. Peter Maxwell had a nice yacht, not many had nice yachts. Tony Blair was doing welll and not interested in the Middle East but in Mondeo Man, his regular voter.

And Ipswich Towns Portman road capacity was approx 21000. Our record signing was £2.5m

You should get old Barnes-Door or Hanley to come along for a game - not only would they take the focus off you, patronisation-wise, it might also boost their confidence to hear a 'well done'! (if they've got their deaf aids in, of course.)

("brute" incoming!)
