For me it is pretty much solely that first home game back in the Prem in 2001. I had a ST with my Mum in the Cobbold lower (Dad and bro were in NS6). Vividly remember:

1. The atmosphere - was genuinely incredible, and the best since the Charlton playoff game (Clapham own goal).
2. United fans in the away end a bit dumbstruck by it all (had to stand on my seat to see them).
3. Beckham blowing a fella in front of us a very camp kiss after receiving all sorts of abuse. Quite a good way to shut him up.

Dad always goes on about the 6-0 at PR when we missed 3 pens:

Several for me....

A 0-2 defeat in around December 1983, one of the first matches I went to. One of the few games my Dad came to as he took me and my brother for my birthday. (He wasn't a massive football fan)

The FA Cup game in 1988 when we should have had a penalty near the end of the first half - the first proper big crowd I'd seen at PR - Churchmans was rammed well over an hour before kick-off.

Then Funky Frank's piledriver to put us 2-0 up against them in 1993, after Kiwomya had give us the lead following a Schmeichel clanger.

Following season was 1-2 defeat, my main memory of that was a gruesome injury to Phil Whelan which happened right in front of me (I was on the front row of the North Stand).

Next up was the 3-2 win the season we got relegated - Paz's debut, Mason scored two and Sedgeley got one. Later that season was the 0-9, but thankfully we didn't get relegated on goal difference, but they lost the league by one point.

Then the 2-0 win in the League Cup under Burley, before the 1-1 draw in August 2000 - we should have won that - Bartez made an incredible save in the second half from Johnno, and Staam was a one-man defence for Man U that night, he was amazing, one of the best opposition performances I've seen.

And then the 0-1 defeat towards the end of the 2001-02 when van Nistelrooy cheated to get the winning penalty for them.

Will leave the away games! (0-9, 0-2, 0-4 and 0-3!)

I'm too young to remember much before the Burley era, but old enough to remember all of that. The 9-0 humping is my first United memory, weird the things that stick with you but I remember being on the school bus on the Monday and the radio was on and vividly remember the host saying Craig Forest had 'thrown himself in front of a bus' this morning. 30 years on that feels in really bad taste, and I remember at the time as an 8 year taking it literally.

Also remember the League Cup 2-0 win. I have memories of Scholes coming off the bench to try and get them back in to that one, unless its playing tricks on me.

1-1 remember very well, Wilnis scoring past Barthez at the Churchmans. Beckham scoring the equaliser with that free kick that bounced up past Wright. I think he scored a really similar one not long before or after that, maybe against West Ham.

Losing 0-1 the following year with the RVN blatant dive.

3-0 defeat in the Cup under McCarthy. I'm still a bit annoyed about that, 6,000 fans or whatever it was making the trip up there and feared the worst as soon as the lineups were announced. They went strong while we rested a lot, you would normally expect the other way around. Josh Yorwerth and Polish Pete against Rooney and Martial. Felt a shame we didn't put a stronger side out and a bit of a wasted trip, but dare say the outcome would've been similar regardless.

I was at the 3-2 and 2-1 in the early prem days. Remember the odd bits of each, but was only little.

The cup game, 2-1 (maybe 2-0) win, I was mascot. Andy Cole was a cnt

Then the 1-1… one of my top 5 ITFC at PR memories. WILNES

then the 1-0 loss, van diver. Loads of trouble in town pre match.

I first saw Man Utd in 1970. Ipswich won 4-0. The MU team that day was Rimmer, Dunne, Edwards, Ure, Sadler, Fitzpatrick, Stiles, Best, Charlton, Gowling, Law. I remember absolutely nothing about the game - I was very young and stood on a footstool.

In 1973, I was at the 4-1 game watched by 32000. I remember more about that because I was that much older of course, it was on MOTD and there is footage on the internet. United were terrible.

The 6-0 was the best I personally ever saw us play. It was surreal. I was late for the game but squeezed in (crowd 30,000). MU seriously got away with it that day. It was one of those where they really weren’t that bad (they were runners up that season). We were just that good, even without John Wark.

The one home game I missed in 2000/2001 was the 1-1. Flippin typical, but by and large I managed to witness quite a few of the good moments, as well as of course the not so good.

I cant find a video of it but one of my favourite games at PR was 3rd Jan 1977 we won 2-1

Seems to remember they took an early lead we battered them for about an hour before a Greenhoff own goal and. alate header by Clive Woods won it.

It had been very wet leading up to the game and the pitch was really heavy leading a journalist with Ames like eloquence to report like troops wading through the Flanders mud there was wave after wave of Ipswich attacks finally breaking down the united defence through a sheer war of attrition.

TWTDS!!

Has to be the 6-0 game for me. Had an invite to a wedding that day but decided to give it a miss and go to the game instead. Glad I did!

Living in Cheshire during the early 1970's - in 1971 went to Old Trafford. We lost 1-0 and George Best scored direct from a corner. Bobby Robson said it was a fluke, but later in a League Cup tie at Portman Road, he nearly did it again!

The 6-0 win at Portman Road though is the stand out one for me.

Thinking about those games I was at the 78/79 match. We’d played Liverpool during the week at home and got absolutely battered 3-0. Not the best evening i’ve ever had. Utterly outplayed and given I’d been to the Charity Shield debacle, we were wondering what the season held.

So went to the United Saturday game not expecting much, but ran out 3-0 winners.

The crowd for Liverpool was 28k, the crowd for United 22k. I guess that reflects the time, stature of MU at that point in time. But the raw fact is that interest in watching ITFC at this moment in time is at an all time high. Let’s make the most of it.

The 6-0 win always sticks out for me. Also, as a young kid around 1976, I remember Man U hooligans in lower Cobbold trying to climb up to Upper Cobbold at to Town fans and the old dears up there hitting them over the head with their brollies.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

Like Churchman my first memory of them was 1970 when I was a ball boy. I remember getting George Best to sign the back of my ITFC ball boy pass outside the dressing room. He was very friendly and charming. I still have it to this day 54 years on 😂

I'm pretty sure I was there for the Taricco worldy in the league cup in 97. Although I would have been 12 and I can barely remember where I was yesterday let alone when I was 12 and going to quite a lot of games

Anyway, what a goal that was!

Singing rude songs about Clayton Blackmore.

The 9-0 at OT. Whilst they still take the mick, they forget that the result at Portman Rd earlier that season cost them the title.

The draw in 2001.

League cup midweek match on a coach with the London branch when we put out our reserves. (as did they although their reserves had quite a few internationals)

Not a memorable game, as such, but really annoyed their fans when we sang YNWA. Think it was last league visit to Old Trafford, they had lost previous game to Liverpool.

The Wilnis goal was something else and the noise that night made you miss the North Stand even more when they took it down.

I also went to the 2-0 defeat that season at Old Trafford. Memorable for being so hungover from an office Christmas party the night before that I forgot to take my glasses, was sick at halftime and then dropped something so bad on the A1 on the way home that there guy in the next cubicle asked me to please stop.

I was there that night. Didn't he save 2/3 one on ones. Could do nothing with John Gidmans goal.

first time for me was a 2-7 hammering…it was packed out and I was sat on the west stand touchline with a bunch of other kids..think it was a night game and very foggy.

My first ever match 0-1 at Portman Road Bryan Robson through a crowded area after a corner. Must have been 1985.

2-0 in the League Cup when Taricco scored. They had their reserves out but it still contained 9+ internationals and we were in the league below.

Never been to Old Trafford.

1961: Ipswich 4 Man Utd 1. Ray 2, Ted 1, John Ellsworthy 1.
Gaskell in goal for Man U famously pulled his shorts down in front of the North Stand.

At Alf Ramsey's Memorial Service in Ipswich, Bobby Charlton said that Man U had the ball 80% of the time and Ipswich still won 4 1. He couldn't believe it! And nor could we. What a season!

I'd quite happily see them have 80% possession on Sunday while we win the game 4-1.
