Not ISIS, but not particularly better.
Although the Kurdish forces (SDF) in the east of the country are also potentially advancing and making use of the chaos.
They haven't worked with HTS who are based over in Aleppo, however SDF forces which occupied pockets in Western Syria were forced out by HTS, but allowed to leave in good order with their weapons and armoured vehicles, so they seem to be pragmatically not fighting each other at least. | | | |
