Corner delivery aside… 17:06 - Dec 14 with 2291 views | CustardCream | Jack Clarke doesn’t feel much better than Harness. Especially not £20m worth [Post edited 14 Dec 2024 17:07]

OK. Like all new players, especially at this level, needs some time, a few starts and he'll be just fine.

I thought he looked a lot better today. Got on the ball more, drove at players and got in behind a couple of times. Plus what a corner!!!!
Corner delivery aside… on 17:17 - Dec 14 with 2083 views | TractorWood | There is a player in there. I don't see many people saying there isn't. It's just not a league where you can spend much time learning on the job.

Hopefully that assist will give him such mush needed confidence. Definitely a player there.

What is wrong with some people? It's almost as if being an armchair pundit is more important than Town winning.

Corner delivery aside… on 17:28 - Dec 14 with 1812 views | FrimleyBlue | You do realise he covered areas of the pitch in today's game that he probably never even stood in last season. He's learning. We won't see the best of him for a while but he's getting there with other bits. What I did notice today was he's got a lot better at anticipating an opponent counter and getting back himself or anticipating a weak bit of control and pressing the player. Best way of watching J clarke is a work in progress.

Bizarre the amount of posts on here criticising players after we’ve won a game. Pathetic

Given time I'm sure he'll fill his boots. Or perhaps, in his case, his shorts.

Corner delivery aside… on 17:42 - Dec 14 with 1626 views | Churchman | I think you are a bit off the pace - Harry Clarke is this week’s scapegoat - see Dublinblue’s post. He got in first. Having seen Harness and J Clarke play I can tell you that while I like Marcus as a player and he did good service for this club, Jack Taylor is a far better player in my view with a lot more potential. I suggest you put the boot into Harry, possibly Muric and save JCs kicking for next week.

Most of our team is a work in progress, and is how we should watch every game. Since the West Ham and Everton games we have been in every game, and the gap between win or lose has been the odd goal. We’re not being smashed and outclassed but hanging in or on. The team is improving week on week, if not in skill then in stamina, guts and determination. Last minute draws and defeats have been painful, but we are learning week on week.

I get what you're saying but there are players as individuals who you'd think have reached their ceiling. Whereas the likes of J clarke are actually being developed.

Custard creams are sort of yellow arn't they? Don't care what happens this year as long as we stay competitive. Even if the worse happens and we're relegated, I will be 100% behind the boss and the team to come up again even stronger with a lot of the infrastructure already in place. Some of our newer fans won't remember how long it's taken just to become a real club again. Not that it's a criticism. I'm sure I was expecting the glory days to continue in the early 80's.
