I called it out earlier in the season and I'll keep calling it out 22:12 - Jan 16 with 7067 viewsGarv

This team and manager doesn't deserve hoards of people walking out the stadium after 88 minutes just because we're losing. It makes the ground look a very sorry place at full time, and things like that will deflate players. We need the opposite.

Poor. If that's you, why not stick around and show some appreciation for the team?

Thousands do and will always

Others fancy getting away and why not of the games lost and were playing with it around the back..

IF our players were a bunch of volunteers I'd get your view. But they're well paid footballers who have lost a game they're paid to do well in.

If I go to the cinema and the films poor I don't stay after and applaud it. So I'm not surprised many do the same with football

For me damage was already done at that point.

It’s really frustrating how flat the atmosphere is from kick off for these ‘big’ games.

Everton, palace and now Brighton have all been really poor.

Do you stay to the end and applaud a good film or boo if it's a bit crap. Going to football is nothing like going to the cinema.

Typical of the Prem, wait until you see the big 6 teams - at Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea you get thousands walking out if they are losing at half time!

But no I'd have left well into the film if it was sht.

If its a good film I do actually give it a little clap. Pretty silly really but there we go.

Midweek, cold night, kids have school in the morning and those 2 minutes saved us the best part of an hour. The game was dead as soon as the second one went in, it was pretty much over after the first one. I’ve supported the club through thick and thin for decades. Leaving before the end of a game going nowhere isn’t meant as a snub or a vote of no confidence in the team, it’s a sensible choice occasionally for those of us who live outside Ipswich.

I personally stay but you have to remember that some travel miles to attend , it difficult to get away from the surrounding area these days , it’s a personal choice and one only supporters can make …….least of our worries IMO.

Oddly, I was in a cinema where members of the audience stood and applauded near the end of the film! Can't remember what it was though.

I do agree with the earlier poster who said the crowd seemed flat from the off, and it was reminiscent of the Palace/Everton games. It's something I was worried about before kick off - with expectation raised, and against Brighton, who are with no offense intended, easier on paper than the games either side, it all became tense. Especially when they started controlling possession from the off.

I didn't hear any booing.

The one thing we have over all the teams down the bottom is that comradeship between players and fans.

Listen to Everton, Soton, Leicester and Wolves fans through the season and they are proper toxic compared to ours. Expectation levels I guess has something to do with it but this is what we really ought to be taking advantage of on home turf.

I know it was for a great reason but I did say to my son after all the noise videos etc today.. to have a 1 minute applause before the game just didn't really go with the theme. I'm not saying it shouldn't have been done I understand why... I just don't think that helped

To be pedantic, it was a minute's applause rather than a silence. Perhaps it would have been better off pre-City, though, where the crowd wouldn't have been so expectant.

Watching it on the Tele. The whistle went. There was a omroar. Then silence and about 40 seconds later the hey jade song came on.. it just seemed to pause the build up unfortunately.
