We need to!

Muric confidence is shot , the players and fans have lost faith in him.

Walton is out for weeks. Slicker unlikely to be ready for this level.

Keep Muric in and we go down , simple as that.

Admit the mistake in the summer , go to Burnley and get Hladky back here , even if we have to pay a small fee.
We still have all of last seasons defenders ( bar fridge) who all know Hladky’s game and strengths and weaknesses .

Could do a whole lot worse and wouldn’t cost the earth.

I wonder if those posts trumpeting that stats company's involvement in the Murić signing have been deleted yet?

Hopefully! It’s an area we need a serious upgrade on. 2 goals today from Muric mistakes unfortunately. I had thought the second wasn’t on him, but it was.

Should we? Probably…
Will we? No.

We’ve invested into Muric, I think we’re more likely to see Slicker get minutes than a new keeper enter the building.
(I don’t anticipate Slicker getting any league minutes in reality)

From day one,you could see muric was a disaster.letting goals in near post, not coming off line, unless he is panicking, then he is lobbed.kicking always pannicks, usually to an opposion player.and today, fumbled the first goal, and also the second.muric seems to have a problem, which spreads across the whole team, when he plays.when Walton's in goal,it seems we are controlled and play well, with a calm keeper like Walton..yes we need a new keeper, that should be McKenna's only thought

Walton isn't really at the level either.

More reliable than Muric for sure. But also has a bit of the Tomas Holy about him where you just have to put the ball hard and low.

I have zero confidence in Muric. I actively expect him to do something that will cause us an issue.

We've got an excellent cross claimer though.

Having got back from the game and watched the highlights, Muric should have done better with the first goal, but anyone saying the 2nd was a mistake is out to criticise Muric whatever. He was at full stretch, only able to get his hand in front of the ball. It’s pretty much impossible for him to control where the ball goes after that. After that it was down to the closest defenders to clear.

Same mate but reality is we’re going to have to see Muric week-in-week out throwing them in.

he pushed it straight back into play for goodness sake, how on earth can you defend that?!

Richard Wright only got his debut because Craig Forrest and possibly Clive Baker at the time were injured

3rd choice keeper is still a keeper.

The worry is we'd be potentially ruining his career, but also potentially making it at the same time. In reality I have absolutely no idea how good he is, so it would be a huge gamble. But playing Muric again is equally as big a gamble now, right?

Right in the corner and got down low quickly, I think he did the best he could and for what it's worth, I think Walton doesn't save it. The second goal is criminal for me because it shouldn't have even got that far. Taylor and Morsy far too passive and Greaves doesn't anticipate the follow up. It's Taylor that irritates me, just no effort to track back fully.

Either way, it's on Broady/Delap/Enciso. Should've been out of sight before it all happened.

Have you watched it on replay, or only judged it live at the game? Have you played as a keeper?

He was at full stretch, and only just manages to get his hand in front of the ball. With his fingers outstretched like that, explain to me how he can control what the ball does? He’d need to be a magician or have telekinetic powers.

“playing Muric again is equally as big a gamble now, right?”

Sadly not so much now, in the wrong kind of way, and it could snowball even more horribly. What other managers and players in their team talks won’t be chatting “pressure the keeper, he’s a weak link”?

Not to mention the possibility of an injury to Muric or Slicker. I think it’s actually imperative we get another keeper in. Wes being out for the season means we could deregister him? and still also get a 9 or CM in.

We’re already relegated, there’s no way Burnley are going to let us buy their second choice keeper this late in the.

Mistakes been made.

Unless Muric was playing up front yesterday and I missed it, it isn't down to him why we didn't beat Southampton.

FWIW I don't disagree that we have a goalkeeping problem on the whole, but to single him our for yesterday lets a team who dominated possession and chances off the hook for not killing the game off.

Smacks of football inexperience that post. Quite simply, you’re wrong. He’s trained to push it away as far as he can when getting a strong hand to it. In classic Muric mode though, he thought he could save it and hang on to it. He couldn’t and we lost.

Two mistakes. Two goals. No points.

I wasn’t at the game today as my boys got chicken pox, so I had the luxury of watching it multiple times as it happened, I have since watched highlights also.

Yes, I’ve played games in goal both as a child and an adult - pushing the ball forwards and back into play is a big no no, one of the first things you’re taught as a child *not* to do as a keeper.

Your defence of Muric is admirable but misguided.

If you had asked me before yesterday I would have said no chance.

But with Walton injured, KMc knows he's got a serious goalkeeping problem.

I think one of the issues is, do the owners think we have any chance of staying up? If not, then we're better off addressing the issue in the summer.
