Two quality left backs on show tonight

Leif would do well to climb over these two in the England bedroom

Poll: Philogene Conundrum

Lewis-Skelly is actually a midfielder I believe but definitely very defensively resilient

Mitchell at Palace is pretty useful as well

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

I wouldn't be surprised to see Leif stay at Town if we went down.

Being realistic, other than Southampton and Leicester, what premiership team would Leif replace the current left back in. Not a dig at Leif, but I can't see any team he goes into as a starter. He might be seen as a viable back up for some. I think he stays as well.

Edit - and saying that, Wellington looked pretty handy on his debut for Southampto as well

For teams who dominant a lot more of the ball, he might be an attractive prospect

There aren't many better attacking full backs in the PL imho

That has to be one of the most blue tinted spectacle comments ever.

Controversial opinion maybe…. But I don’t think he’s Prem quality.

I think that is a massive call. Which clubs do you think he starts for out of interest?

Arsenal -Riccardo Calafiori - full italy international
Aston Villa - Lucas Digne - french international
Bournemouth - Milos Kerkez - hungary international
Brentford - Rico Henry -
Brighton - Pervis Estupinan - ecuador international
Chelsea - Marc Cucurella - spain international
Crystal Palace - Tyrell Mitchell
Everton - Vitaliy Mykolenko - ukraine international
Fulham - Antonee Robinson - us international
Leicester City - Luke thomas
Liverpool - Andrew Robinson - scotland international
Man City - Gosko Gvardiol - croatian international
Man United - Luke Shaw - will be upgrading but will be aiming higher than Leif i imagine
Newcastle - Lewis Hall
Notts Forest - Nico Williams - welsh international
Southampton - going down, Wellington looked useful on debut.
Tottenham - Destiny Udogie - Italian international
West ham - Emerson - cresswell the back up getting on so possibly here as a back up
Wolves - Ait Nouri

In my opinion West Ham may look to him as a back up, but i dont see him starting in front of any of the left backs names above.

The rumours were that Leif was going to West Ham if we weren't promoted last season. So I could see that happening.

Not sure I agree, but I think I'm arriving at the conclusion that we've overhyped his ability.

But you're not alone - I have a family member who believes that Morsy and Davis are our weakest links and that includes Muric.

Is he? Great engine, but he hasn't got much trickery to beat a defender one on one. Think he excels where he's the extra man on the overlap, but that means we're exposed at the back.
Think his stock has gone down this season.

I wish him well and if we can get good money for him still, maybe it's time for him to move on. Wonder if he's reached his peak with us and he's got to look after his career, too.

I think like quite a few of our players, if you dropped him into a team that was full of established Prem league players he'd look a lot better than he does now. Recruitment teams will know that.

He can’t defend and is constantly out of position.

Isnt it it only trent In front of davis for attacking contributions as a fullback?

Think that's a tad harsh on Leif, but as fans we do seem to overegg our players.

I remember a few years ago people on here were talking about Bart being a Prem keeper and how he would get a big move ... he ended up at a middle of the road Championship club in Millwall. Again, Bart was good, but maybe not as good as what us fans thought (think Phil said similar too).

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

Some of the positional stuff is down to how he is asked to play and that might differ in a different team. If he was paired with a decent Prem experienced LCB then I think his defensive weaknesses would be less apparent.

For big chances created, he is joint 10th in the Premier League, only Trent and Lucas Digne ahead of him for defenders. And he is some way ahead of the next defender.

Have a look at some of the names he is comparable with. Of course there is going to be interest in him!

I think it'll largely come down to current LB's already at PL clubs moving on. I could see Liverpool looking for a Robertson replacement, who's not going many years left. They might look at Kerkez at Bournemouth for example, which means Bournemouth are then on the hunt to replace him (and you'd imagine Davis fits perfectly into that profile they're looking for).

I think there will be a few PL clubs interested in him. It won't be any of the top 6, but Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham, Forest & West Ham are 5 clubs that may hold an interest - 6 if you include Wolves if Ait Nouri gets poached (but not sure if Davis will be wanting that move). Leeds, if they get promoted, may well take an interest too.

Poll: If selling Jackson meant getting in a wide man, would you be happy with Garbutt?

Can't see it, he'll have option to move elsewhere. Palace may want a more attacking option than Mitchell and Wolves will lose Ait-Nouri to one of the big teams so they'll be after a LB in the Davis mould if they stay up. Edit: Bournemouth and Leeds also fit this category, as per the poster above.

Also, Newcastle and Chelsea don't have great full-back depth so if they're back in the Champions League they'll need reinforcements there too. He wouldn't be a game changer for either team, but they probably won't get much better than him as back-ups.

I wouldn't disagree with that.. though I would put Muric equally as culpable.

With Davis though I can only think it's partly KMK tactics that are to blame that leave him so far forward and the defence exposed down that right hand side. Morsy just isn't up to the job at this level. It's a shame but it's not like his young and can improve.
