The Telegraph and Express were leading on their front pages with Trump’s main attack lines, with only a reluctant late nod to a more critical view in the last couple of sentences for the former. The Mail were surprisingly critical of Trump, so there’s hope.

The meeting was obviously a stitch up. Why did Trump need Vance in attendance ? When Trump said it was good tv he was talking about Trump and Vance. Several combinations come to mind, Burke and Hare, The Kray twins, Brady and Hindley etc. Possibly the worst piece of tv I have seen in over 70 years and as has been pointed out since what sort of message does this give to China with regards to Taiwan if the supposed leader of the greatest power on earth calls the aggressor the one that is in the right. If America has anything other than self interest it's people and other major political figures within the US will rise up and defeat this regime.
