Cunha incident has now got me hoping great escape is back on on 21:10 - Mar 1 by SuffolkPunchFC
Behave, you’ll just get all the naysayers crawling out of the woodwork
Naysayers or not, to get above Wolves we’d still have to win games and we’re assuming they won’t lose points on us during the suspension. We have had plenty of chances to win games, none better than Wednesday and we didn’t manage a shot after half time. I have a feeling that even if Manchester City got docked points we’d still be relegated.

Even more annoying we got nothing from spurs or Man Utd games, missed opportunity.
There's been worse individual games this season but in terms of a two-game 'spell' that is almost comfortably the most frustrating of the season. To not go ahead against Spurs and try and take advantage of their dodgy defence and low confidence, and likewise to succumb to such a terrible United team and concede so many set pieces.
We should have been looking for 4 points from those two. To get none was demoralizing.

Yeah but...I have a feeling that you are more depressing than Eeyore!

You’ve completely missed the spirit of the OP.

I’d rather be “depressing” to you and live in the real world than be so disconnected from reality that I can believe we’ll stay up because Wolves have a single player suspended, which will probably be a light suspension knowing this league anyway.
It’s Lala land stuff.
If we were to stay up there is a number of critical factors that we need to put right for the final run, and even then we just don’t have the personnel for it anyway, especially with some key cogs in the wheel injured.
Let’s hope they get the summer right, rethink, rebuild and come back stronger rather than biting at each other on a relegation that will be all but confirmed soon.

We can do this!*
*Disclaimer - I have had a few Henry Westons Vintage Ciders!
My god, a few?! That stuff is known as nuclear cider in our house and my wife is under strict orders to never let me have more than two no matter the circumstances. Good luck sir!

We can do this - but I think we need a tactical change to do it. Losing Phillips and Hutchinson on top of Ogbene, Burns and I'm not sure if Chaplin is close to returning, is a huge blow.

I have had a upbringing (in a cider sense) by Henry Westons Old Rosie, so I can take the beating. I don't need your luck, although it's appreciated!

I've been through the depressing stage this week after the Utd game, it took a couple of days longer than usual. I got through it though, let's move on to the next one with some optimism, otherwise what's the point in being a supporter?

In a relegation season these are the margins you look back upon but it isn’t currently clear how we extract 3 points from our remaining games let alone get alongside or above Wolves. If Cunha is as disruptive as he looks Wolves might be better with him not on the pitch! If only we could find it as easy to win games as we do finding new and novel ways to lose them.

I don't understand how you can claim to live in the 'real world', and yet think that there is some straightforward obvious better way of doing what we are doing, and we are simply getting it wrong. To me that's the real la la land stuff.
There is a reason the 3 clubs at the bottom are those that came up, and were last year. The other teams are light years ahead development wise, having spent hundreds of millions more than us and being able to attract a significantly higher calibre of player. Whatever strategy we employ has a massively high chance of failure, so to point and talk about critical factors to put right like it's a tick box exercise is simplistic beyond belief and to me just as fanciful as a light hearted willingness to believe we can do it against the odds.
Not to mention, what's the fecking point of being a fan if you can't suspend disbelief a bit? You seem to suspend disbelief about the league being almost a closed shop with barely any way in other than luck and perfection, so why are the others living in la la land any more than you?

Look, we all know that we're probably going down, but just give it a rest for a bit, rather than pissing on any small bit of optimism you see.
It's pretty tedious, and utterly unnecessary.
